Here are more mod maps that I explored and here's my analysis: - Temptress Lagoon - Amazing looking map, has one huge biome (which is the one shown in the video) a huge biome with a lot to explore, also has its own DLC dino variants already added and I spotted a mini boss out in the wild in an open and untouched biome, it was a Karkinos that summoned swamp creature minions with sounds that the Megapithecus makes when summoning minions haha, strange. There is also a Redwoods like biome that looks great, it is however the complete other side of the map to the other biome and in between both biomes there are no unfinished and very empty areas with nothing but creature spawns. This map was so close to making the list but due to the fact of the lack of biomes I left it off, it has A LOT of potential! - ASA-Descent - LOVE the idea, would be awesome to have a map that rivals Aberration, but it is very empty and needs A LOT of work, wouldn't recommend playing it in its current state. - Ice Age - Love the idea of the map as I love the snow biome in general, looks great with some awesome looking map and structural work, would prefer it to actually be colder XD as it is far too warm in some areas. Does have bosses and artifacts added to the map, however there are no artifact caves, the artifacts are found in the open world (like Crystal Isles) Which I wasn't a fan of, it needs artifact caves in my opinion and finally last thing I did notice was I could not find 1 metal rock, obsidian rock, crystal node or Silica Pearls, definitely needs addressing as it is the snow biome, which all these resources are typically full of. - Nyrandil - Another map that has a lot of potential, but has lack of biome variety, I believe there is one or two biomes in total that do look great, I really like the map designer's style, loads of cool ruins and beautiful landscape being developed, it will be up the top of my list in the future no doubt if it keeps on being updated. - ALPS Test Map - Could be a large map and a cool one at that, has a large castle in the middle of the map (which is very well made) but I didn't find a complete biome, extremely empty. Wouldn't recommend playing it in its current state, could have a great future if all biomes get completed but are so far away from that right now. -ARKopolis (Update) - I have been told world bosses do actually spawn over the map!! Which is great news. I didn't see any of them while exploring in Single Player for hours! Typical terrible Single Player spawn mechanics I guess XD also, apologies for butchering the name too, all my time playing it I didn't realise it was called ARK-op-olis and reading it as ARKpolis, my bad!! - Silver Nortica - Seems to have 1 biome, doesn't seem finished, it's okay but nothing special...needs more, flare and just needs more. would not recommend playing currently. - Reverence - Could have potential in the future, love the feel of the map, biomes are all basically there but I do feel it needs a lot more uniqueness (if that's even a word) to the biomes themself to add more character and make them stand out over other maps in this video. Looks like it could be a really cool map! Could be playable but still abit too empty to me. - ARK Nirvana - REALLY cool idea, I love it! Even though I don't really like cartoon like things, has a lot of potential but just like most of these does need a lot of work. - AFL Crystal Coast - Lots of structures, loads of ugly pixels over screen, weird and framey as anything, would not recommend in its current state at all, kind of cool ideas for a map nonetheless but it needs a LOT of work to fix whatever it is i'm seeing on screen XD.

I only saw the Karkinos boss but yeah it doesn't surprise me that there are others haha, I found the Karkinos mini boss in an unfinished area though, wasn't even rock, plants or anything so it is a shame, would love to see the map fully complete!@@vicaraven916

Well these maps aren't complete. Wildcard isn't going to release their maps before they are complete. These mod maps won't be 100% done for quite some time. But yeah some of these modders should definitely be offered jobs

Svart is actually going flyers allowed at some point in the future. Nekatus gave it some thought and wanted to include the people who were refusing to play without flyers.

@@BEYPlaysGames You can enable flyers now. But this map is amazing on foot and so much effort put into it. Every couple of hundreds meters you find either a ruin, a village or a huge castle.

This is a great video, some awesome maps out there! Forglar looks amazing, haven't seen much of that map yet tbh, ofcourse we all know how great Svartalfheim is lol!

Forglar, Svartalfheim and Tempress Lagoon are my favourite map designs/styles...Temptress is sadly a lot further from being completed in my opinion but what has been done so far is that good it almost got itself on the list :D

Temptress Lagoon is awesome looking The empty spaces really are an issue tho, some unfinished biomes are filled to the brim with creatures, others with resources and then some are just open space. Really looking forward to seeing the map complete, it does have soo much potential!

Glad I already picked up Forglar. The others also look amazing! I really hope talmah, olympus, hope, tiamat, pandora Island, caballus, the volcano and the chasm all come to ASA one day. Some of those weren't even complete in ase but a girl can hope, which ironically hope was completed lol

Yeah it's a great map! It definitely still needs a lot of work, if you do try it i'd recommend building in one of the biomes that look finished. Did you try the ASE version of the map? the Amissa city looks identical to the ASE version so I guess if you're worried about building on the map that would probably be a good spot to set up a base as I doubt it will change...ofcourse I wouldn't know for certain though XD

Only on unofficial servers and Single Player, Svartalfheim premium is the only mod map that can be played on a small selection of official servers!

my problem with these mod maps is the lack of a spawn map or something for the creatures... they are super beautiful and it'd be nice to see something else that is not The Island, but you just cant find guides or anything for non-official maps.

Was about to ask the same question about the wiki spawn map...if that's the case I don't mind too much, love trying to find the spawns myself haha or the fact of not knowing whether a creature spawns on the map or not, I do like to make things harder for myself too though XD

One thing I think I forgot about was the feedback about the Christmas/love ascended mod, if you’re still interested: I’ve seen winter creatures spawn! After some hours, many santas big helper and reindeers spawned in. Color regions seem to prefer love ascended still. Love bugs spawn too as well as love fish. So it’s possible to combine them if you don’t care about Christmas colourings!

Yeah same here, my server wasn't showing up after they updated stuff the other day, was thinking about making a ticket but they are useless at responding!! I only used the server for recording so I decided to click the reinstall option, I was expecting to lose everything including my character but everything was still there and the server was back working fine...I wouldn't recommend doing that though, when I selected the reinstall option back in the day on an ASE server my whole server progress and character got wiped so I have no idea what happened in this instance!

Nekatus needs to finish and make the premium version crossplatform.......Wildcard is droppin the ball and ill give Nekatus my money

Someone told me that Nekatus was going to add flyers to the map afterall because of that reason so hopefully that comes in the near future, I love the map either way but I'm still yet to play too much of it!

Whenever I try and download Foglar it says invalid and Broken file

Lagoon has a Wyvern variant too. Among about a dozen other creatures at least. Just added dragon nest and eggs. Got a 150 egg on 1st try yesterday. No haven't hatch it yet need to figure out how that works without a egg incubater. Thinking a griffon nest but I'm back on the Island or not playing due to constant crash that started the other day. Fine before that.

That's awesome to know, had a few people point out the Wyverns and stuff, I guess I didn't really explore it enough, 60% of the map was like fully empty so just assumed I'd only find creature spawns, map has a lot of potential!! if I transfer a Svartalfheim creature to the island would my friends be able to join/use the dinos without paying for the mod? I was thinking of making a server cluster for me and my friends for when the maps gradually release including Svartalfheim once its premium version also becomes available for console and I know that not everyone would be willing to pay for the map

Well I don't see why it would be a problem because Svartalfheim doesn't have any creatures exclusive to the map as of yet, they are all mods that can be added and I could be wrong but you probably could download those mods like the Svart armory and use them with other maps (Can't clarify that though as I have never tried)

Svartalfheim is also awesome for the dino levels - most creatures spawn at high levels. Also recommend added the S-variant mod from Nekatus for gorgeous blue glowing dinos including a maewing. I have played Temptress Lagoon (gorgeous map but spent half an hour looking for a single stone for a pickaxe), and Ice Age (metal ore rocks on the beaches and stunning scenery, but resource and creature spawns are a little unbalanced at the moment with large empty areas and no oil or obsidian that I was able to find). Great video Bey!

Sadly not, there could be some though, I did see a Karkinos miniboss that summoned Swamp creatures and made sounds like the Megapithecus boss, which I thought was hilarious. Found it in one of the areas of the map that has no foliage, rocks or anything so was odd haha! Yeah it's crazy the amount of money you need to spend, I'd also love to give it a go but I wouldn't have the time to learn, it looks so confusing!! Thanks again!! I was wondering if dino or creature mods works on mod maps

They should do tbh, unless they are overhaul dino mods, they're the only type of mods that aren't as flexible but honestly most mods should work with any mod map!

Any of these mods have the old skin of the Argentivis? I miss that guy.

Sadly not yet, currently it is only available for PC, hopefully will be available on console in the near future!

I downloaded Arkopolis and it’s really laggy on PS5. Is that normal?

Hi! I can't say I've tried them out on console yet, I do have an Xbox series X though, I'd really have to try it before I can really clarify how well it performs!

Hard to say really, I feel like they all offer their own unique challenges...I'd probably go with Insaluna, Forglar or Amissa....(Forglar is my favourite map by a long way out of the 3) But is also the least beginner friendly in my opinion!

has anyone played any of these maps? I'm on an unofficial server (nitrado) and would love to try some of these, but already have so many issues with the game running like garbage.

Wouldn't say I've played them yet but I didn't crash once when recording this video (at least) And I probably explored each map for 4-5 hours but still I haven't played any properly! It doesn't seem any worse to me than running the Island map!

Good thing I am playing with my friends,because without them I would have got so bore of playing alone

I hope Ark Return back to the top again It's really sad seeing the best game that I love like that. I'm really, really sad of that.

I fully agree! I do have faith that once Scorched actually releases the game will be back to its former glory :D

Sadly it takes nearly an hour on console to install a mod map just for it not to install resulting in you needing to try again. Hope they fix this issue.

I believe they all are minus Svartlafheim premium! But there is a crossplay version of the free version anyway!

@@BEYPlaysGames I found a spawn last night! Dive off the northern tip of Katdo island, and swim down and north. They're on the underwater cliff wall, black with purple details. There aren't many, but it's better than a kick in the teeth.

Suprised taenia stella didnt make.the list. It must still be in early early development

It didn't even exist in ASA when I made this video XD and when I did check it out around a month ago it was unplayable as it had only just been added I believe, probably should check it out again soon to see how much it has been developed because I did love the map in ASE!

I swear you and the modders are keeping this game going! Sort your SH1T out Wildcard, Great video!

The Center wouldn’t have really changed anything. The better tames & item’s came in later maps.

id be willing to pay for Svartlhefeim aside from the fact i dont want to be a part of the problem of WC simply incentivizing modders to fix their fucking game for them since they're too incompetent. Plus the fact it will now encourage all modders to start charging for their content, making it less accessible to players.

I do agree! I can only hope Wildcard sort it out and not miss this Scorched Earth release date, I don't think they can let everyone down again! Let's hope they stay free, I'd be happy to pay money for 100% completed maps if they are good enough though tbh but yeah I can understand that won't go down well with 75% of the fan base!

100% my man. I don't have a problem with Modder's being compensated accordingly, but there has to be a line drawn somewhere (and i'm sure curseforge has a review system set up for this) to keep premium content locked behind a paywall but not allow EVERY cheap ripoff mod to be monetized. Modding (in my opinion) is a hobby. If people want to DONATE to support you, than great! But once modders begin demanding pay for their work.....than why don't you just go become a full-time developer? I'm not insinuating that is what's happening at the moment, but i see it very quickly becoming a reality once people learn how much money Svartlefheim has generated already..... @@BEYPlaysGames

I don't understand why people keep shilling for this game dev and publisher, and even more I am baffled by how people are always surprised when something is delayed. WIld Card has had from what I can remember one on time launch of content in its whole run with ase and asa. But people are always like whaaaat? A delay or postponed :****D zero brain power detected.

Well for me personally outside of the server restrictions. Ark is a side game that just for kinda chilling while I recharge. And honestly the graphical improvements are really nice, pluse some of the requested changes having finaly been added to the game. Delays suck but since ark is kind of just an in-between games game. So long as they keep the content coming and don't get to scummy about it. I'll keep coming back.

Mod maps aren't the same as a new map!

its sad to say MOST of these maps are the same Garbage that came from ASE A Random giant map with a odd formation of cliffs, Giant Dinos converted into a statue, crystals all over the place ( I would not give any of these maps shit if it seemed they were following a Design Document or idea that changes or is semi/ consistent through out the rest of the map) Sort of sad most map makers can't make a map like Ragnarok...Not to say it has to be just that is has real world detail imbedded in like rivers that fuel other water bodies, mountains eroded to seperate its redwoods from a SE desert and so on

I agree with you to a certain extent but i've not seen a map like Forglar before, yes there is some resemblance to features from other maps but it is the best one on the list, very unique! And these are created by one dude, not a team like Wildcard so I think some are very good! And it is still very impressive considering Wildcard haven't released a second map yet after like 6 months or whatever it is!

I agree. I was okay with Flyers not spawning in on the map, but I can't even ride my flyers on here is kinda bad
