Preying Mantis is easy as it only has one attack. Facing the opponent grab around the neck and start eating the top of the head

This is not unusual, the cast of 'Warriors Two' including Samo Hung didn't know Wing Chun before they started filming. In fact the guy who played the Wing Chun master was purely an actor with no formal martial art training.

@@batboy9997 Yes that's true. I'm even a bit annoyed by the whole Ip Man trend. Like people really associate Donnie Yen with Ip Man while Donnie has always been a very modern martial artists with incredible kicks and MMA type of techniques. Also speaking of Ip Man, what's up the hype? I mean Ip Man was quite good obviously but it's like Ip Man is the only Wushu sifu worth talking about lol Well Jet Li did make a movie about Huo Yuan Jia, but I feel all the hype is for Ip Man and Wing Chun. It's crazy how Ip Man movies and Bruce Lee contributed to the popularization of Wing Chun. That's all for the hater comment haha, sorry guys! I just felt the need to say this

Mastering any one of those you already listed alone would take years with hours of practice every day. unless you're unbelievably talented & has no problems on focusing on kung fu training 24/7 & nothing else, you won't be able to even master 3 of those in 10 years.

I think an honourable mention should be made for Choy Li Fut. Less well known, but perhaps more effective than many kung fu styles (pre-sanda). Their practitioners adopt a kickboxing style in the ring and have held their own as well as defeating Thai boxers in Thailand on occasion in their history.

I started with Bujinkan, then began Tan Tien Tschuan, Tai Chi and a bit of Karate, Taekwondo and even Aikido and Judo- now I am learning Wing Chun. What I learned is that every style has its benefits and the kombination is the cherry on the cake for me. (For example when I teach my fellow practitioners some wrist locks- comes in very handy) Bujinkan is my root but what blooms out of it has varied so far that I lost track somehow- obivously it works in Chi Sao and Lat Sau :) Your videos are great and I am glad that I found your channel- keep on going.

Actually, "little idea" isn't just about what the style has to offer, but also, it teachs you everything has a beginning and you have to empty your mind before filling it with new concepts (idea). Sam Bai Foot section is where you empty your mind, before it before it becomes faster and explosive. You go from a small yin, to a expansive yang when performing Siu Nim Tao.

Great video. Lower your taan sao. The angle is too high to be effective under pressure. There's so many amazing styles of Gung Fu out there and it's great seeing them showcased and talked about 💙

Awesome video man!! I've learned bung bo kuen that was incorporated into Hung Kuen by Lam Cho and have taken lessons from Lam Chun Fai who was in the video (red background). I love how connected Kung Fu really is, Great work!

Thank you! But, I think the focus is also on the individual player themselves. Most of my research lately isn't performance based but focusing on how to appy the techniques and adapt the art for MMA and self defense.

I understand Kung Fu now and not because of the styles. Thank You for making videos and allowing me to study. I feel more confident that this is something I probably can master. Maybe someday I will but seeing how I know not many, I may just have to teach myself. I'mpossible.
