It is from a while ago but it tells you how to tag your videos. kzread.info/dash/bejne/m2R9sbVmj8q6c6g.html Another useful tool you can get is a Google extension called tube buddy. You can look it up on Google to get more info. I myself have a youtube channel with a different account and I was able to get 250,000+ views on certain videos because of this. I hope it helps! Cheap. Castropol on the Malecon is considered a nice restaurant, and those meals in the video were about $12. The pizzas in the video were about $5 and the crepes & sandwiches about also $4-5. Most cafes are $4-6 for meals. Street food like the BBQ were more like $1.50-$2

No problem! You should be able to eat well for about $15-20 per day eating in pretty good restaurants. FYI: 3 of these 5 restaurants have become top restaurants on TripAdvisor:)

@@birgitcangonja5175 People argue about this all the time, and it comes down to this: If you can get a really good rate wherever you are to exchange US dollars to Euros before you go, I would do that. Then exchange the Euros while in Cuba. That avoids the 10% fee added on to exchanging US dollars. Some people argue that exchanging twice eats up the savings, but I haven't found that to be the case. If you are in the USA and can exchange your dollars for Euros for a reasonable fee, I would do that. You CAN NOT use USA credit cards or debit cards there (very few exceptions). I calculate my budget ($50-60 per day as a non-drinker), book as many lodgings as I can on airbnb and go exchange for Euros. When I get there, I change about $50 at the airport to pay for my cab (around $25 - usually shared with another plane passenger going to a place nearby), then exchange the rest at a Cadeca in town.

I'm not a chef. Looking for some thing I can try. Too cook.

Lol! Thanks, Andrew. But there's only one Catholic house of worship in the Parke Cristo, si? I'm sure they'll find El Cafe using the directions I gave. Thanks for watching!

You're right about the Cuban workers, many could not afford these. However, many Cubans do go to these restaurants. As for rich, I'm not rich, but can afford a $5 meal. These suggestions are for travelers on a budget.

Oh that is so wonderful and "hip" but did you ask yourself Is "El Cubano a pie" allowed in the tourist areas? Do the Cuban people get to eat and enjoy the wonderful Cuban cuisine like you did? What is the scenery like in the towns of Regla, El Cerro right outside "Havana", hip? "Old Havana" looks magnificent, colonial architecture, 1950's vintage cars, like being in a movie hey look there go Ingrid & Bogart... What about La Habana Vieja did you miss the crumbling buildings. Three school girls ages 11, 12 & 12 got killed by a falling balcony on Jan 29, 2020 a short walk away from those hip restaurants. Did you miss the crumbling buildings? Oh man you gotta see those and tell the tourists it's a sight to behold. Hmm, did you walk inside any of the apartment buildings to see how the Cubans live? Oh man you missed it, gotta tape it and show the tourists. You're missing out on.... THE REAL HABANA Edit>>> Ha! Ropa vieja one of my favoritos, but but slaughtering cows is illegal in Cuba. How come you got to eat beef? Cubans forgot what a bistec is, that's beef steak in tourist.

Hi, Ed...I get what you're saying. I understand the frustration, but that's not what I do. I'm a travel/culture storyteller. I try to be as responsible as I can in telling my stories, and In fact, this video helped get 4 of the 5 into the top 10 "cheap eats" in Havana, so there's that. Real money into real Cuban pockets. Though sometimes my stories take a turn towards unfortunate events (like the time a woman I was interviewing in Cambodia unexpectedly shared her story of being terrorized by the Khmer Rouge), I don't usually focus on the darkness of the human condition. And yes, I've interviewed Cubans in their own homes and showed them in my video. I understand you want the whole truth about Cuba to be told....We all do. I have many Cuban stories on my channel, and I invite you to view them...Thanks for the view & the comment! BTW - I didn't get the Ropa Vieja. My hip Cuban friend did. He treated me to the fish.

@@JfCLA Thanks for your kind words and understanding. Edit {I appreciate your work. It's because of people like you I get to see Cuba, even if it's only on a screen. Thank you again} I'm a US citizen and I love the US and more often than I like to, I find Americans take America for granted. Maybe it's because those Americans don't know how it feels to lose the land you were born in or don't know how great America because they haven't experienced a point of reference like having lived in a Communist country. You can love a strange land, its people, flag, customs etc. till it's no longer strange and it becomes your own but as years pass, every year you begin to feel more and more like you belong somewhere else. It doesn't diminish your love for the new land just a feeling like something's missing. Like the song says... "Between the silence of the mountains and the crashing of the sea, there lies a land I once lived in and she's waiting there for me." Moody Blues So yeah, I just like people to be aware of what Communism has done to that island, not the US, not the embargo, Communism has done that.
