Here’s what Wesley said in Chinese: “I showed weakness intentionally. He can’t possibly have anything good like AK. If he does, I will eat these cards raw. He’s just a “mad dog” (which means a person excessively aggressive in Chinese) You know, our conversation is actually gonna be recorded and there will be Chinese commentators who understand and translate it to the audience.”

@brett bono AA also has equity in straights and flushes etc... it's still a 2 outer. 2 outs at about 2% each x 5 cards to come gives you the 20% equity. Your comment just makes people realize you don't understand equity 😂

I disagree but then again probably why I’m not a pro or rich … however simple math/odds mean this fold is poor He’s put 20k in which is the first bad play because of the guy has 33k you are betting knowing he could shove and it’s an easy call regardless if you feel he has a House you’re putting a further 13k into a massive pot so the odds mean you can’t fold I feel if he was worried about the house he either checks or bets 8/10k as then you can fold mathematically Anyway he’s still a poker cash god but I think this was poor … my humble opinion

But, from experience, I can say needles hurt even more when they're coming from someone who doesn't even know they're needling you lmao. So many times I've lost a hand to a person who didn't have the first idea how much of a beat I took and wanted to discuss the hand like it was funny or thought I'd wanna yuck it up after taking a bad beat bc they're so new to the game. @@jayganz7797 Tbh, having the Q diamonds there makes it an easier fold bc you block hands like turned Q high flush draws/hands like KxQd (which ironically Garrett has). You're almost more willing to call the river jam if you have KcQc because your opponent might have a hand like QdJx/QdTx that they're turning into a bluff. But tbh, after Tiger jams 13k more into the pot and Garrett's getting like 6.5:1 it simplifies his decision even more than blockers. He has to be good 1 in 6 times and he's (conservatively) good like 1 in 50 times. Nobody jams over the top when you bet 2/3 of their stack unless 1) they have the nuts, or 2) they've just escaped an insane asylum and managed to find 50k on the street to buy into this game with. Literally the worst thing he's jamming with is a flush. I genuinely hope the commentator rushed his thinking when he said "You just have to pay it off even though you don't like it." You 100% don't and shouldn't, especially when you have the image at the table that Garrett has: The smart, aggressive, best player in a 1000 mile radius. You're for all intents and purposes never good against a shove in that spot with any KxQx after Tiger jams. That fold isn't "great," but it an example of being disciplined and separates players who are winning vs. players that break even or slight winners. Saving $13k there when you're never good adds up over time. Telling yourself "I have to call cause the odds are too good" is bad if the odds are nowhere near close enough to genuinely justify a call.

On the last one.. Its not that Garrett only has to be right 1/6 times, it’s not that at all here. It’s that he bet full pot on river and he knows tiger as a player that he’s not shoving 13K over the top as a bluff and he’s not shoving worse than nut flush or maybe even bottom boat on that paired board. It’s not about the math or anything other than knowing your opponent.
