You can't purchase a wooting, you pre purchase it and they'll come in a batch. It's not about the Amazon link, you literally will have to wait for your batch. Which can be a couple weeks.

Ive got the Strix Scope 2 96. It's so good. The keys feel really nice and smooth, I really like that it still has the number pad, and it sounds just so good. You're definitely right about the few over lubed switches, but it's really not so noticeable that it ruins the experience

Just got drunk deer barebones, omg it was worth it. Once I modded it, it sounds so good even with the plastic case. This is my secondary keyboard, my primary is my wooting60 with the tofu redux. Can’t go wrong with either/or

Which switches did you use for the sound test on the Tecware?

I got a mechanical keyboard for £17 from my local Asda! Still good and works

What about the Yunzii AL71 it's a 75% with aluminum case that offers silver switches as well for gaming.

having a hard time deciding whether to but the tecware phantom plus elite or the royal kludge m75

I got the RK61 Plus a week back, miles better than my Blackwidow v3. Pre lubed hotswappable amazing stock sounds and keypress feel, and has both 2.4G and Bluetooth along with 2 usb passthoughs. Skip gaming keyboards, get an RK, keychron, GMMK or Ducky. It will rejuvenate your love for keyboards.

The Keychron keyboards are some of my favourites, though they tend to be expensive where I live. Their Q series is fantastic but on the mid end side the K2 is also good. Gmmk pro is if you want to build your keyboard from the ground up. RK84 and RK61 are great options at a budget, their keycaps are not that great (not terrible either) but you can always change them later.

the only form factor you need for any game is a 60% _as long as_ the whole thing has customizeable keybinds; the numpad, TKL, even the arrowkeys are superfluous to a certain extent.

@farmeunit you can learn the layers to use the arrow keys and other buttons. I work from home and rarely do I ever need keys like home, pgup, pgdown, etc

I don’t understand why any modern gaming keyboards are being made with north facing leds when so many gamers like Cherry profile keycaps.

Is the 8K from razer a thing to pay attention, or just a gimmick like in the past?

I’d call it more of a gimmick, unless you’re a pro gamer or something? Even then if you got one that let’s say 4K, I’m not sure how much you’d be able to tell in responsiveness when you start getting that high, may not even be humanly possible to tell hahaha

I got the Tecware Phantom + Elite and just noticed an inaccurate statement. The board is universally compatible with 3pin and 5pin switches. The foam on the plate is 3 pin but the plate itself is 5 pin. Thanks for the awesome list. Happy to know I got the best keyboard already :)

imo putting the word "gaming" on a keyboard is just marketing really most keyboards can be used for gaming and if you want a keyboard with light switches most keyboards are hot swap now so you can just change them out for light switches

you cant find good keycaps with north facing keyboards

I have corsair k70 that I got it for around $160 (I bought in 2016) and I was happy using it until recently I bought RK-H81 (for around $75) and tried it. After using RK-H81 keyboard I feel like K70 is a total trash and I have been cheated by this company. Space bar of K70 rattles more than like tail of a rattle snake and other keys with stabiliser does the same. All of the keys wobbles a lot. Key caps are cheap and when you press any key then it feels like hollow. On the other hand RK-H81 sounds really pleasant and thocky , sounds of spacebar and enter key--- oh boy! Hot swappable, wireless, RGB, pleasant key strokes and stable keys all these for less than half of the the price. For all gamers/typists, even if you are a fan of big brands like Corsair, SteelSeries and Razor, my advice would be try some cheaper mechanical keyboards like Tecware Phantom Plus, RK-M75 or RK-H81 before buying any super expensive keyboards from big gaming brands I mentioned. Do not waste your hard earned money on these brands. You will not know what a real mechanical keyboard feels like until you try a real one!

Why is there no mention or Wooting? They have a more superb rapid trigger tech than these keebs 🤔

you know what layout is always sold out? 75% 84key. numbers and f-keys lined up vertically. that. idk why peopple make these ones with gaps in f-key row .stupid design

im still proud of my 20dollar keyboard🙃
