I want to point one thing about Untitled Project X, that mattered to me the most. It actually allows to use PS button icons in the game. And I absolutely love it. I hate steam versions of so many PS games for changing original PS button icons.

I love this game. Did you know Aurone was 35 in this game? I feel old....

List of best mods: retextures??... Everyone should get FFX Farplane, it lets you change everything related to memory in the game, like adding items, overdrives etc, or more importantly, it allows you to have every character get xp from every fight, so you dont have to chose between awkwardly swap everyone every single fight, or play only the same 3 characters for the whole game because everyone else is lagging far behind.

i was hoping for more then texture mods but I will have to check these all out

I'm surprised there was no mention to the sphere grid mods by YuuDennings. I guess it's a matter of taste but, for me, graphical mods aren't too interesting to me generally unless they add skins or stuff like that. I'm more into mods that change or add content, and the sphere grid mods are quite cool because of how they change the experience of the strategy in the game.

Ultimate Hardcore Mod, or even more difficult, PBird mod are the best for veterans who want a challenge.

FFX-2 use dressphere character models outside of battle. Either with what is equipped or get to choose. That would be cool

Is there a recommended fix the green screen issue when the big cgi cutscenes start ?

after all these years i really hoped to see something more impactful. when you compare it to other moding scenes like pokemon or BG3 then it all seems very subtile. i was looking for something like mods that allows the characters to switch between weapons and jobs so we can have rikku swinging aurons blades or khimari with a Blitzball or even Tidus which would make more sense, now that i think of it. Following party members, different clothing options, adjustable sphere grid starting points, but i only found 8k mods which i dont find to important for the game. Kinda dissapointed but also to unexpirienced to do them myself.

You're comparing apples and oranges here, not every game are as moddable to same extent as the other. I'm not sure what pokemon game your referring to, but swapping sprites in early ones is quite easy task. There is Reskin costumes however for FFX, but they just werent too amazing.

@@SugiJRPG im talking about the last Gen Violet and Scarlet. There are thousands of mods including remodeling Tools for Charakters and Pokemon in 3D reskins are the Most Common even. There are even Tools to let you mod your own Game to the extend you want in Terms of own Character progress, every enemy in the game, there Pokemon, items, Open world Status, movement of running, driving, climbing, flying, randomize all of it or Just completly editing your own save Game and so on. Tools to have that on your console or pc\emulator. And the latest Game is only about 1 and a half years out.

I have not, i'm not really a balance mod style guy often a not, but i can definitely see the appeal why some would want to try something like that

Please tell me there is a way to play the hd version with old facial animations. The new ones are deprivated of their soul, there are scenes where Yuna looks like a robot while in ps2 version she had fire in her eyes. Please ❤️

How do you get the game to run after installing project x?

Are there any mods that can tweak overdrives? e.g buffing blitz ace damage? it looks cooler than quick hit spam but just isn't as good

I was thinking about playing the Steam version here on my deck, but I saw that there is no way to speed up the limits. But the worst was when I saw the blitzball match, IS THERE NO WAY TO SPEED UP THAT? WTF??

Hey, I made a way more thorough version of the aeon skins mod. Nikon didn't even bother changing Yojimbo's sword reflections, or Anima's bottom half, and several more subtle things. Fun fact, the close-up of her fists during her overdrive uses its own textures, for whatever reason. I already tried commenting this with a link, but I think YT auto-deleted it. Just search Nexus again.

@@SugiJRPG Doesn't have to be Skyrim for that. Your mom isn't Skyrim, but she'll still role play different things for me, dress up different ways, and go different places. Just like Chrono Trigger, FF6, MarioKart, etc all have different missions, characters, modes of play that are available with patches and things. Straight up lies. I'm playing FF6 T-Edition right now with twice the quests and bosses, and I have 2 extra characters (Gerenal Leo and an Imp), and double the magicite (i just found a Cait Sith magicite). Textures my left foot.

FF6 is age old game so are the two other mentioned titles, hackers and other people had ages to tinker with these games and back then encryption wasn't on same level as it is now. emulate the original PS2 international version, the game looks a lot better than the remasters IMO and tidus and yunas face looks just so much better

that are your picks.... really it changes almost nothing.... you litteraly have a mod that let you use Symore as a perment p[arty member or use Tidus and Aouren in ffx2 and you pick up only minor graphic and menu changing mods....at least the last one you pick add little some thing to the game.

there isn't as much great mods in such old game, compared to like FF7R, FF15 for instance. Most of the other mods are just simple high res textures.

Psh.....someone make a model for a Leviathan summon and program it into the game....how was there never a water aeon....

This game is over played would be an understatement because there's literally a player out there who pretty much speed run the game by figuring out how the code works to basically figure out a bunch of numbers to basically use yoJimbo 2 1-shot all the bosses includin penance

If these are the "top 5" FFX mods then I think I'll keep my money and not buy this game on PC ... so boring.

I don't see the appeal of an 8k resolution mod, 8k is still not remotely common enough to sweat that much over, but the menu background change looks beautiful as all hell
