Ricky Oyola’s style is very underrated in my opinion. That one clip in eastern exposure 3 after he Nosegrinds some crusty ass steps and pushes into the street and does a perfect backside flip on flat in front of a car and immediately starts pushing switch is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen

I wouldn’t say he’s underrated if your on the east coast. And grew up in that era you will most likely know and respect him. But I definitely agree with the fact that a lot of east coast pros weree getting over shadowed by the west coast.

First, I sincerely believe Andy Anderson is Animal Chin. He just embodies all of skateboarding. All styles from all era's, but with his own individual style, all skills from all disciplines, but with a whimsical playfulness that makes it look effortless. As for the question of best style... In no order: Mark Gonzalez, Stevie Williams, Chris Haslam, Christian Hosoi, Dennis Busenitz Honourable mentions: Dylan Rieder, Lance Mountain, Andy Anderson, PJ Ladd, Tom Penny Special Mentions: Bastien Salabanzi, Bobby De Keyzer, Rodney Mullen, Tony Hawk, Chris Miller Guest Starring: Lukas Puig, Jamie Foy, Daewon Song, Evan Smith, Yuto Horigome with Special Effects by: Richie Jackson

I understand Chris's final words on style being separate from innovation. A lot of the highly technical innovators (Chris Cole, Rodney, even Andy Anderson himself) have pretty stiff, rigid style because their focus is elsewhere so they don't really prioritize feeling or flow as much as analysis and precision. Just two different approaches to skateboarding
