One engine I'd recommend is the UZ engine. I think if you're looking for a reliable track car I'd get a v8. Can make the power NA

uv had more of my respect when u had the rotary on the list,rotaries are hard to find the right parts and the right ppl to do it,and its hard to drive one cuz of how low and small and how far it sets back,love the vid,keep killing it!

Funny I’m just now seeing this, I swapped a fox body 5.0 in mine, and I absolutely love it. It was a pain to make mounts and everything, but I love it!!!

Idk much about foreign cars I’ve always been into American muscle until I got seriously into drifting so bare with me lmao, but doesn’t the Holden commador have a v8 variant?? Or am I thinking of a whole different Holden? Also this is going to sound really stupid but I find ls engines can’t be a big challenge for new drifters, they have incredible low end torque witch can shred the tires at low rpms witch can actually be hard to over come for throttle control if you don’t exactly know what you’re doing, but everyone has different preferences and learning experience

Commodores do have v8s but not Nissan's. They were Holden made v8s then eventually they went to LS

My opinion for high level drifting 2jz GTE A ls A rotary A 5.0L mustang engine And final one a rb26 or rb25 MY OPINION

One of the most competitive supras of all time had the 2j torn out and a 3sgte swap. My personal favorite though is a turbo 1uz non vvti. With the correct mods they can make 1000hp WITHOUT a turbo

If I had to add a not as common engine on here I’d add the 5.7 Toyota v8 in the tundra. That motor is savage!!!

Yea Toyota is kind of a joke. They taunt everyone with dope ass v8’s and refuse to make manual transmissions for them. If they made a competitor for the mustang and challenger it would absolutely demolish ford and GM I just don’t understand🤦🏻‍♂️

Rb is the most under appreciated drifting engine in America, but here in Europe they are used a good bit

Haugen Racing I have never drove one, but have been in a few and they are in my opinion the best sounding motor, I’m in Ireland and a lot of our pro cars run them, they are just soo good to listen to

Mazda 1.6 and 1.8 motor in place of the sr20 yes less power but their reliable cars and easy to come by

why i dont see mitsubishi lancer arround in drift. great engine and is 4 cilinder. and you have v6 too VR6. BUT ABOUT VIDEO, I REALLY LIKE JDM AND MUSCLE but a mix of jdm and muscle V8 strocker engine naaa dont seemes good

I actually prefer the ls over the 2jz even tho im jdm fan boi but the ls has its reason

@@HaugenRacing that's a hard choice but probably the ford 302, I think it's okay to replace as its another ford engine 😂 but also Barra's are pretty cheap and you only have to tinker with a couple things and you comfortably and safetely make 1000+hp, they are basically a australian 4.0L 2jz and they are super super simple engines, I know of plenty Australians that have 1400hp barra street cars. They are superior

Like an LS400 or something? They're good BUT lots of fabrication to get them to be manual and stuff. Plus they weigh a TON.

GREAT motor, and 100% love that you brought it up! Only real down side is there isn't a ton of support for it in terms of like swap kits, chassis fitment, etc. Incredible motor for rally and in a Subaru platform they're a beast!
