I appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge. As you say, you get what you pay for. I want something to see if I enjoy flying them. If I like it,then it’s worth spending decent money. I’m glad they sell cheap ones to get an idea . It’s good business sense from their perspective.

Fun list! Love the idea of a controller & a computer sim on the list. I agree with X5C & Tello. The Bugs are awesome, but I’d be afraid to give one to a new pilot. I’d recommend to stick with the X5 or a small altitude-hold drone for true beginners.

As a beginner I had the Ryze Tech Tello. My man is correct, the image and video quality is amazing at this cost. I had a hard time controlling the drone , even with the controller I bought but I never put in a lot of time with it. It's a great starter and also as a bonus the company has software that helps kids( and big kids like me) learn how to program a drone. Amazing honestly.

there are videos on it, claiming they basically took a $40 drone and sell it for $100. and apparently most of what they say in the commercials is bs. they claim it was a $5,000 drone, lol. but when you see someone show it in detail on a video, it looks far more cheap and flimsy than it does in the commercial.

Maybe im crazy, but i think unstabalized video looks cooler as long as the pilot is smooth enough. I feel like unstabalized gives a sorta "mechanical" feel to the video for lack of a better word. And also you can kinda see what the pjlot was thinking a little by seeing all of the tiny movements and adjustments they make. Of course professional jobs and cinematic stuff should be stable, but i like viewing pilots personal enjoyment flights unstable.

4:25 thank you. This is very intriguing and interesting and would serve perfectly for my purpose as a makeshift security camera. I would be using it to scan around my property and mainly if I have suspicions already of some animal or some person being around to possibly better ID something dangerous near me. I don’t need a 4k camera to understand if a man is holding a AK47 outside my house or not. But, when looking at this just a hobby, FPV looks super fun. I’m super excited to get started. I have a few windows in my house that are small plenty of openings to just pop one of these outside real quick. Edit 6:12 Oh my god. Wow, this has been more than impressive to me. I’d absolutely love to have one of these tellos following me around, to example, record me outside. That’s very cool technology and very impressive technology for under 100$. I will be looking into this product.

Do you have any recommendations for an inexpensive drone (~$100-$120 MAX), that can be geofenced to your own backyard? It doesn’t need to be fancy, as I’ll be using it for my dog to chase in our backyard as he LOVES to track and “chase” the airplanes that fly over our backyard. I have a cheapo kiddie drone, and I can’t keep it in our backyard for the life of me, and that’s why I want to be able to geofence it. 🤦‍♀️🙉🙈😂

SG108, L900. These are GPS drones with brushless motors, remote tilting camera, and under 250 gram. There are actually quite a few new GPS drones with brushless motors for less than $100. Some even with 2-axis gimbal. Seems you have some catching up to do.

@@HalfChrome I have the SG108 and it flies great. Very reliable GPS. Under 250 gram which is what you want for beginners. You can fly it without GPS too to get some skills. The video quality, ah well. But I'm waiting for one with 2 axis gimbal, with SD card slot, also GPS, brushless. For example the SG108 Max is I believe 300 gram. So are other newly released Mini copies. The weight isn't always mentioned. Perhaps you can see if there is such a drone already or will be in the near future? I'm pretty sure that's what people are looking for. No registration, but everything you expect on a heavier $100-$200 drone like the SG906 Pro, F11 etc.

No I realize its drones under 100 no one will find any quality for that price period. and can be a liability just a hazard to cars people houses as many do not have gps and fail safes. the bugs 4w 5g 4k camera with a gimbal it has a distance of 1km. a good 23 min run time. at the time i purchased it was 2 years ago it was 400 cdn dollars which i admit was a risk from (wish) lol. I would assume they are cheaper now. it depends why would anyone want a pos piece of plastics with a 3 min run time and 4 hr of charging time beats me. I'm poor myself so i DID LOTS OF REASEARCH AFTER WASTING MONEY a drone here a drone there they are like new shoes. it adds up so i finally got fed up saved money to get what i felt was the best drone in my price range. if you can afford it the DJI maveric mini is the best hands down and it is 249g light weight gets by USA AND CANADAS WEIGHT LIMIT SO NO NEED TO GET A DRONE LICENCE AND GET IT REGISTERED. I've seen them about 600 used but 1000 is abut what you would need to spend depending what your desire for a drone is for video editing home movies it has amazing features. check out captain drone bugs 4w review very great channel for all drone related info. i hope this helps. chris

@@needfulthings665 Everybody should start with a $20 mini whoop and learn to fly without GPS, optical flow, and altitude hold using throttle. Reviewers and 'experts' telling viewers to start with a $500 GPS drone are complete imbeciles. If after that people decide to buy a DJI MIni or whatever, then that's their business. But I'm quite impressed by my 120 Euro SG108 Pro I flew this afternoon. I don't even want a DJI MIni. Officially you need a license and registration for the SG108 Pro as it is 270 gram. So that's 342 Euro in the Netherlands. I sure hope people tell the authorities to go fuck themselves over the 20 gram extra. EASA even wants you to register for a freaking Tello!! Because....it has a camera. Yep in case you shoot an airliner down with your 720P camera. Oh wait it's because we are not allowed to film naked cows and trees. I'm all for rule and safety. But soon as the rules become absurd I won't follow any rules. I'll make my own decisions. Often my decision is ir is better not to fly at places where it is allowed, and that it is safer where it isn't allowed. It's called brains. Soon as your drone can be a potential danger due to its weight and the place and height where you are flying, then yes please get a license and registration. But if a kid flies his mini toy in the garden then the rules are just for fascists. And yes you are right that many of us waste money on cheap drones. But that too is part of the hobby. If we only got ourselves a DJI then lives becomes pretty boring. I like buying €100 drones.

@@driewiel well thats a shame you think that a bit a of advice means someone is an imbicile. As my objective was to give some advice as not to make the same money wasting mistakes i have made only a suggestion i have a mini whoop eachine us 65 and that's more then 100. another thing a lot of drones do not have there own remote so learning how to use beta flight is impt and def a simulator and learning how to set them up. i hope people understand my intentions are good. i dont think recommending someone buy knock off nikes to learn to walk as those shoes will break down in days or spend a bit more on a real pair and will last a long time ( if that make sense) its been a while since purchaseing a drone so i did look and yes they are cheaper then they were a few years ago. one more thing yes bugs 4 is over 249g ive never been asked for a licence etc...that dosnt mean they wont i suggest everyone follow laws of the sky as its just as busy as the road.....happy learning

@@needfulthings665 It's amazing how many children have a DJI MIni. There are even 'expert' reviewers here on YT who say the DJI Mini is a nice toy for kids. Because they themselves of course have at least a DJI Mavic Pro and Autel plus all the other stuff they got for free that makes them such a super professional. Again you're right when you say anything under $400 is rubbish. But I think to call a $400 drone perfect for beginners is ridiculous. Or maybe I'm just to poor for the hobby?

Every one of these larger quadcopters reviewed are larger and LESS expensive than tiny whoops. Why are tiny whoops so expensive? You can get a full size decent quadcopter for the same price. Tiny Whoops should be $50 to $75. And if anyone says, yeah, but add up the costs of the buying the motors and body, etc separately? Then you would see why they cost that much. And ... I would say, all those parts are overpriced. The markup on these tiny whoop quadcopters must be insane.
