If I went there at about age 8 (which wouldn't have actually been possible, as Disneyland Paris opened when I was 16, so speaking theoretically here) I don't think I would have been particularly scared, but I've always had a thing for reptiles (go figure). I find myself wanting to go to Paris now; closest thing you can get to seeing what Beastly Kingdom could have been.

SplinterGirl13 are you serious? It’s the worst ride, that’s why there’s no line! To any tourists wondering what it is: it’s an animatronic led storytime about how technology has changed over time, featuring an annoying repeated song and seats that move from room to room. Nothing to do with Disney, and more suited to the theme of Epcot. Skip.

Cinder Ella That attraction is mostly for the non-tourists, like you stated it doesn’t make sense to them. Granted, the story and the topic of the show itself may not be the greatest, but it’s more about the history of the attraction itself! The people involved working for the show and it’s long-running history for theater/ innovative ideas at the time! It’s a reminder of how “We’ve Come so Far” and how technology has changed the park itself over the years. Maybe try to not knock something off because you don’t understand the idea and culture of an attraction. Plus it’s great to sit and get some a/c for 20 minutes ;)

Except it was built specifically by Walt and WED for the 64 World's Fair and sources say Disney himself stated it was his favorite attraction and should never stop running. It was also at Disneyland first before being brought over to WDW. Some may find it a little cheesy and boring but its steeped in Disney history and was probably unlike anything anyone had ever seen at the time. Plus Walt literally had his hands on it and that stuff is only getting fewer and farther between. And maybe my entertainment threshold is much lower than yours cause I just find most animatronics, especially those made my the Disney Co. to be cool and fascinating. Now is it a must see attraction everytime, no probably not, but I think everybody should experience this ride for the history behind it alone and because it was Walts supposed favorite.

Sandals! I love roaming the hotels as well! Whenever we go to Downtown Disney, we always make it a point to go to either the Grand Californian or Disneyland Hotel. It’s always so nice just to relax in the lobby and listen to the Disney piano music and maybe catch a glimpse of a monorail on the way out in that woodsy courtyard area. As far as in the parks, I always enjoy stopping by the Disney Galley to look at some of the Disneyland memorabilia and maybe catch a showing of “Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years” or Mr. Lincoln since that doesn’t really have a line. Not sure if this counts, but eating at the Hungry Bear Restaurant and watching the riverboats and the trains go by and listening to the wilderness noises is always relaxing. To me, that’s what Disneyland’s about; the experiences and immersion that take us away from our daily lives.

I have to give my dad a shout out in the comments really quick for always advocating for us to find the lesser known attractions and experience them, even when I was a little kid and just wanted to go on the Dumbo ride again. Now I have incredible nostalgia for all of these attractions and it's so nice to be able to indulge in a little bit of childhood without all the lines. Also, he later told me he's terrified of heights and still took us on the treehouse walkthroughs (also his sandals weren't ideal for rope bridge climbing either)

When I did finally go to Disneyland and discovered that the dragon was actually in Paris I swore to myself that I would go someday and see it in person. I got to do so last summer. At Disney world, I would 100% recommend the 3 cabbaleros (Srry I can’t remember how to spell it) ride. It NEVER has a line, maybe cause no one knows about it, but it’s super fun

I love the ride AND the movie! Funnily enough the one time I went on the Three Caballeros was the one time it had a line, however I think a majority of the people were from the same family reunion

one time when my family and i were at disney world we got dole whips in adventureland. later that same day, we got dole whips at the polynesian village hotel while trying to get somewhere with monorails, and using the pv hotel as i guess you could say a connecting point between the two monorails we were using. one of my favorite disney world days ever.

Sandals! Though I usually wear shoes to Disneyland. Once I wore sandals to the OC Fair and couldn't go on certain rides. Since then, I've only wore closed-toed shoes to theme parks. I really appreciate the Cinderella Castle walkthrough so much more since hearing about the history of it.

I would say pretty much the entire World Showcase tops my list. Even beyond the rides and films that you do have to wait in, I love wandering each pavilion looking at the architecture and browsing the shops. My trips to Epcot have always been "Future World rides in the morning, spend the afternoon wandering the World Showcase" (and since 2010 (when I turned 21), Drinking Around the World. I've succeeded with beer, but only made it as far as Japan with liquor. Ended up passing out on a bench and waking up to people taking pictures of me).

Its been several years now, but last time I was in Disneyland Paris I spent a good hour in the Dragon's Lair sketching out the different positions that it moves in etc. Its such a mesmerizing animatronic! With the dark cave, and lighting it really feels like it could be alive. It shocked me the first time I saw it, and I was surprised that more people didn't go in to see it! I've visited the dragon many times and there is rarely anyone else in there. I really wish that Disneyland in California would build something like this.

At Disneyland there is a fun show in Frontierland in the Golden Horseshoe. They have tummy sundaes, treats, and it's a great place to sit down out of the heat and kick up your SANDALS. They also take people from the audience to participate in the show.

we usually snag a hotel near-ish to disney, but instead of going to the parks we would hop on the trams and buses and ride around to each hotel and it's so fun, and of course we would go to disney springs for dinner, but if you want a disney experience without spending so much money on the actual parks this is a great option!

The Boudin Bakery Tour in the Pacific Wharf area at California Adventure is a walk-through tour that shows how sourdough bread is made. The path is very wide so it's never crowded and they give out bread samples. During the history of the company tour, one gets to watch bakers making both linear bread loaves and Mickey shaped loaves as well as beautifully displayed bowls of dough rising.
