@@robertanderson9447 Basically, this was so long ago that I forgot even making that comment. But technically speaking, the truth is that in the scene, no matter how fast or slow you go, you can't catch up. Since you don't go any slower in the scene, there's no obvious sign that the explanation he gave is correct. Now that I think about it, that explanation makes sense in canon. But in actual gameplay, especially with Debug Mode, the theory starts to fall apart. But hey, that's my perspective on it. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to look at my past self in shame.

@@glschrauben No need to take a shame-filled look. What's done is done, and now in the present you've elaborated your point, so thank you. That being said, I think debug shouldn't be a factor if we're talking about gameplay intent. Loads of things can break when you use it, after all.

That "Ancient Painting" in Hidden palace is Doomsday Zone! That was so cool!

The intensity you bring to every boss battle makes me want to play the series over again. I gladly give you my subscription and like.

Because later games had the Chaos Emeralds in the shape of the Hyper Emeralds rather than their 1-3 "basic" shape, I've always interpreted that as meaning the Chaos Emeralds were now canonically the Hyper Emeralds as well - possibly through exposure to the Master Emerald.

You have a natural knack for storytelling. Great list. I agree with all but the Doomsday boss, which I think has been cheapened by almost every Sonic game that followed ending with a Super Sonic battle in space... just because.

Funny thing is I used to think you were over exaggerating the doomsday boss, but then I actually fought it and your description was in my head and I was like,"holy hell his description was correct!"

The Doomsday zone music is one of the most epic boss soundtracks of all time. I get fuckin HYPED when I hear that and I'm not even playing it.

I love Sonic 3 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. They were both epic on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. I always enjoyed the Blue Sphere special stages.

I agree, Knuckles is probably one of the most epic boss fight. Not for how easy he is but for how STRONG he is. I mean, he knocked the SUPER out of SUPER SONIC. I'm actually sad that he was so easy now that I look back

-Though the classics were before my time and I have nothing to do with them- I really enjoy this video. I'd really love to see more Top5/10 videos from him. In the future...maybe. I really love the way he talks and analizes/explains/describes all this.

SonScotty I guess im stupid because for the Death Egg zone in the end of Sonic 2 i thought you beat him by waiting for him to jump and try to squash you. I waited at the shorter end of the screen as when Robotnik lands he'll automatically face the longer portion of the screen. Then i would hit him as he was walking forward and doing his attacks even though i was behind him. I would jump and hit the gray jetpack, but died alot because i would sometimes hit the little fire under his pack. Idk if my way was harder as u have to survive longer or easier

That was really impressive! I liked how you explained the details in the video! This really was a great Sonic Game at the time! It really makes you want Yugi Naka to continue the franchise. Yugi Naka really knew what he was doing when making a plot without saying a single word in that time. If he was still making Sonic the Hedgehog how do you think it would have been?
