Another nice thing with Flying Blue is they seem to have more award seats on each flight than other programs, and you pay 25% less points for children’s award tickets.

💯 just got to pay a little more in taxes and fees but I'd gladly pay the fees for the low redemption rates and the award space!

I'm definitely looking forward to utilizing partners like AirCanada and British Airways more. In general, for international trips, I like to use my Amex points and then use my Chase points for quick domestic trips through Southwest (or American if there's award availability), but that's just what fits my travel habits right now. Very helpful

I use BA miles on AA and easily get 2 cents per mile because the route is less than 650 miles. Not to mention the flexibility you gain when using points over cash.

I'm curious if there is info somewhere about how long it takes to transfer points to the different partners. For example, It's been my experience that Hyatt transfers are instant but Bonvoy takes a couple of days. I'm always afraid availability might change during that transfer time.

Hey Max, I enjoy flying JAL a lot but very often I only see award availability on AA but not BA for savers e.g. HND - JFK J class for 60,000 AA . Is there a reason behind it?

Air canada, aero plan? Checked throughout the year - there are zero premium or business class seats available and maybe 5 economy dates per month

Aeroplan has removed premium cabin award space for a lot of airlines for the time being. No explanation or reasoning for that. I’ve been keeping in eye on in the last couple months and it hasn’t changed

When in the world i can book an award seats. Still earning pts for it 😢

Still waiting for that ANA availability for Japan to book with Virgin Atlantic ): Nothing out for where I'm at even a year out 🤣

Yeah not surprised, 😕 ANA releases the award space to their members first and then opens it up for partner airlines if there’s any award space left. Not easy finding ANA business or first class award space. If you’re traveling within 2 weeks it might be easier

Hi how many points does one dollar give

Hyatt will be better for most people, especially those not flexible enough to snag the award flight speed spots
