This format is great!
On Reinforcements. It would have been enough to nerf it so that a specific unit can only come back once. That would still allow for an tyranid endless horde to be endless and for guard to reinforce with ordinary infantry, while stopping the abuse of a single Kasrkin or Gargoyle unit being recycled over and over.

I prefer the suggestion where it starts at one CP and cost one extra every time you use it.

But if they take duplicates of the same unit the problem wouldn’t go away. Taking 2 units of gargoyles and reviving them both 1 times would be 4 turns. Similar to what we have atm

@@exmaplecore4559 Sure, but that would at least affect the list building. If someone really want to be able to reinforce three Kasrkin units they need three Kasrkin units in their list in the first place. That gives some restriction. Another option that I saw elsewhere was to restrict it to one reinforcement per datasheet. I e Kasrkins once, a sentinel once and so on.

Just make it battleline only
Having a callidus drop 9" away from the front with your charging blood angels and the opponent has 2 cp to imterrupt and just cant xD

AND the callidus can hide behind first-floor LoS blocking ruins, and bounce around like a rabbit on amphetamines.
Just lock the divergent chapters to their own detachments like their chaotic counterparts and Grey Knights. Then BA, BT, DA, SW, and DW can be balanced independently without touching core Space Marines.

The problem with that is that marine faction detachments sucks. the DA one is a worse gladius. For SW you want stormlance as their own is a dramaticlt worse version of BT etc

Tantalus being able to move through a 60mm base sized hole is the big win for me. My 3 might see the table now
I would have rather have the Reinforcements! stratagem to have a clause that it cant bring the same datasheet more than once per game, that would have been, imo, better, if you got a new unit of gargoyles, you cant get them back again BUT you can bring back a Termagant or Hormagaunt, and so on. Same for Guard, you can get back 1 Kasrkin, then 1 Death Korps, then 1 Sentinel, and so on.

The kroot kindband got a hefty triple nerf,. Hopefully for the nex step GW put points down on kroot because they're not powered up by it as much, maybe we can use them more in the other 3 detachments? Right now they're just overpriced outside kindband. Rampagers for example interact nicely with heroic intervention at 1CP. Kroot carnivores probably get good once they're not competing at the same points with a more durable unit who have BATTLELINE for mission play etc.

That indirect fire
Swarmlord is such a pain now, i got so annoyed I spent 2 CP on a tank shock to get rid of him.
About balancing datasheets in certain detachments maybe good direction would be something like 9th armies of renown? ( i hope i didn't mix editions). Skitarii had increased cost and stats in veteran cohort for example but only in vet cohort. Maybe even just balancing points between detachments would help with issues like wraiths?

My thought process could also be having to buy a detachment for a certain points cost Very similar to how enhancements are a big improvement on old relics/traits because you balance the less good ones by them being cheaper...
for long range anti-tank in a marine list, look at adding a Stormspeeder Thunderstrike. +1 to wound for your entire army shooting a monster/vehicle is solid. It can even outright kill predators/dreadnoughts on its own.
Love these changes as a Champions of Russ Loyalist lol. Can't wait to get Bjorn and friends on the table!

Death Guard got the updates they should have done in April. The fact typhus can still snipe lone ops tells you how much time and thought DG got. There's more to say but I'll leave it relatively short and pithy for now.

So codex marines idea. What if the lesser chapters white scars, imperial fist, raven guard, iron hands and salamanders let you do the detachment rule on their unit. So Kor’sarro khan could use full throttle or iron father feirros made his unit count benefit from ironstorm rules
The pivot doesnt effect the charge roll....unless you roll the correct charge distance it never gets to move in the first place. Your not pivoting THEN rolling the charge distance THEN move. Its roll charge distance, then pivot, then move
Tyranids need a way to use tank shock on Carnifex and grenades on Biovores. Just a (probably broken but I don't care) thought.
The Lion often dies from like grenades and typhus mortals or something like that. super easy to kill.
For the codex space marines chapters, what if they let you take a signature unit as battleline for that chapter? Infernus marines for Salamanders for instance
I wonder if the balance team can be given 11th edition and the codex team can take a year or three off?
Genuinely don’t know how to fit sword brethren + Landraider redeemer + eradicator brick into my Gladius without having way too few units. I’ve gone to just three sword brethren units with a mostly vehicle complement as the core of the list(2 vindicator + 2 reaper) along with some points scoring units
Everyone has access to... For custodes even a unit that has a grenade launcher on every model, has the grenade trait. 😅
They shouldn't hold off on game wide changes because of a certain detachment, But they should give them something in the same patch. They shouldn't just make a change not consider or playtest The second order effects, and then be like whoops we just broke you for a while We might fix you in three to six to nine months. Now that's a negative play experience. Similar with guard They need survivability increases with reinforcements gone, there's no way you can take infantry heavy guard and expect to live long enough to have a chance to win. Or how about when you change indirect, Which fine that's the right change, Go back and change other things that got worse by it, like replace expert bombardiers with a strat That does something. Between making one of the strats useless and making another one once per battle it greatly decreases the chance to use your strats and have options. They better be willing to go in to fix some of the shit detachments and data sheets in the recent codexs. Dread talons is not okay, Deceptors is weak, in orks speed freaks are weak.
As explained now in the FAQs, is it now required to consolidate? Do I always have to move at least one model?

No the rules counts the unit as having made a consolidation move but you can choose for each individual model to remain where it is.
The entire point of artillery on the battlefield is to remove enemy resources

Thats the entire purpose of Aircraft on the battlefield too. It turns out that having un-interactive weapons is great on the battlefield but makes for a poor wargame.

@@kylenewnam8231 it could be very interactive if they do it right. In order for indirect to be able to hit they just need to make it so the unit has to be spotted by an aircraft or visible to scout type units or within maybe 24" of a battle line unit. If they also give some units AA overwatch and have aircraft able to rapid response to other aircraft entering the air space everything could be interactive and fun. On a real battlefield artillery is interacted with and protected. They just need to try a bit harder to make it work because battlefields are complicated. I'm sure there's a wargame out there somewhere doing aircraft and artillery right and making it fun
Quick question, I know that the biologus can only do one free grenade per round but can you pay for one and then do a free one in the same turn?

Nope, if you look at the wording it just makes his use of the Grenade strat free, but there is nothing else in that ability that would unlock using a strat twice
Now that heroic is a sane cost I really like the difference between monsters (can heroic, can't tank shock) and vehicles (can't heroic, can tank shock). Gives them a meaningful difference and makes monsters not just a vehicle in all but name. (Walkers shouldn't tank shock imo)
Admech most successful playstyle? Sigs: " an army that moveblock turn after turn with waves of trash" looooool ❤❤❤
I def wish Tank Shock kept the +2 dice if higher than the target's T Back in 9th they pointed units based on being in their best sub-faction, I expect them to continue to do so for detachments. (Repentia were overpriced outside BR from the 8th dex onwards)

Because they play warhammer for a living so aspects of the game which are unintuitive, uninteractive, unrewarding or poorly written are pretty obvious to them, and it’s good to notice when they’re changed.
