The FK8 is the first Civic Type R to come to the states, and it’s without a doubt the best Civic Type R ever. Not only is it significantly more powerful than any other Civic Type R before it, but the chassis is exceptionally well balanced, the brakes are great, and the overall performance is superb. It’s arguably the best front-wheel-drive car ever produced. Enthusiasts know that even the best cars in the world can always be improved upon.
The stock wheels are abnormally large and aren’t particularly great looking, so many FK8 owners chose to swap to aftermarket wheels as one of their first mods. I went for HRE ff15 on size 19 and oMG..they look so nice on gold color for red fk8. Only complaint is that HRE are not the lightest wheels out there.

Glad you’re loving them! They are an amazing wheel. Tough to come by an inexpensive wheel that’s lightweight and looks good though
Nice video. Only thing missing is offset talk, especially considering more aggressive wheels have been proven to induce torque steer in the CTR.

FK2 19” inch wheels wrapped with 255/35/19 Michelin PS A/S 3+ is the best for the FK8 with the same exact offset as the OEM stock 20”

I love the factory rims ...I think they fit the car ..I definitely don't think boring..however there are some aftermarket wheels that would look better.

I have the Vornsteiner Vff 103 and purchase full set with Tires from vivid racing on my C43 AMG facelift. It's a real eye catcher for sure. But do I miss Driving a manual ? Yup I have the manual BUG time to step up back to a real driver's car CTR ✊

I just got the ze40 TA II instead of the te37s. Seems like every block has the te37 lol
Ok TE37 which ones? The sagas? The SL’s? And you didn’t talk about fitment what offset should I run? how wide 8.5, 9.5, 10’s? Size? 20, 19, or 18’s? Then what tire spec is best for each size?

Best wheels for CTR that is white? Got a BB CTR and i think white will look great on it, but the Volks racing are way too expensive
something seems to me that there is a shoot.... The wheel, but volk racing model TE37, has four bolts/holes. Honda fk7 and fk8 2017 - 2020 , have five bolts/holes. Just explain to me how I'm going to mount them!?

Both are incredible wheels that are more than capable of handling track driving, daily driving, etc. It all comes down to personal preference!

What’s the lowest wheel size you can go on this car?

17's might be the smallest you can go with due to the brakes being so large. 16's might fit but it will take trial and error as there is not much information out there on this subject.
What is the best fitment without rolling fenders and factory suspension for a 18 inch wheel?

There have been people running 18x10.5 +32 that don’t need to roll their fenders. It’s dependent on tire size as well. A smaller tire will allow you to run a slightly larger wheel

I like both the volks racing wheels and the titan 7 wheels. I will swap the volks racing wheels in any civic type r color except the boost blue one. I will only swap the titan 7 wheels in the boost blue one.

Hahahahahahaha simmer down. While impressive, the type R didn’t even crack the top 100 fastest times and certainly isn’t because of the wheels on the car.
Those are common AF and always replicated. I’d pick BBS FIR instead

Forged rims. It's costly to make and Ray's Engineering is one of the best around. I used to say the same thing. Work hard and it will come in time.

I use lightweight wheel.. very cheap only 11kg!!
Welp, one day when i get a decent car that isnt a shitbox, ill get authentic rays TE37s or CE38s. But for now, rota grids are a poor mans te37.

I really like the stock wheels but if i were to get a fk8 and mod it i would change the wheel.. Because, i really dont want to damage a beautiful factory wheel considering they dont give a spare wheel

I love the CE28 I agree with you 100%. I'm not a fan of the fat spokes of the TE37's. The CE28 looks better imo.

Some people want different offsets for different stance, or an overall different appearance to stand out from every other FK8 out there. Factory wheels are great, but everyone has them lol

Wheels specs might be subjective from owner to owner. Someone might want a little more poke or less poke but a wider wheel. If you would like a general fitment guide for the FK8 I would be happy to give you some references :)
