I’ve had my MPK 249 for a little over a year now and I highly recommend it to anyone starting off. For that price range I think it’s the best. I wish it had weighted keys but it’s easy to play and the pads are touch sensitive so it works great for making percussion beats.

NI Kontrol Number 1 . I have one but its really for NI and cumbersome outside of that .I use my Arturia key step 37 more given its size on my descend its flexibility and the Behringer Model with ableton .These are far superior for various jobs rather than immersed or stuck in NI which is becoming universally boring .

Nice video. Looking for an upgrade to my CME UF6 (which kept popping up between keyboards on show, lol). There are not many with the same specs. I know the UF6 is 61 keys not 49, but usually the differences are only the number of keys.

Oxygen is good, but Oxygen Pro is the best in its price range.

@@Pulse2AM Yes. It’s a high quality controller in line with NIs Komplete Kontrol. Better build quality though, aluminum and wood paneling, it’s made similar to the Matrix Brute synth. Very nice.

Title of video must be like Best midi keyboards available at lowest price but not consider as best midi keyboard. All the matter is with video title here but overall the guy has provided good information for beginners . Love from india for all midi lovers

Oops, only number 1 my office not selling as distributor - but I love the brand. Still wondering why there is no Arturia?

Had to write this review off when Alesis vi49 was complimented. Try playing in five flats on this keybed. It’s like running a 100 yard dash in hip waders. Everything is great except the keybed, which is horrible.

Which one is best for Reason 11 or 12?

I don’t want my komplete kontrol s61 anymore. It keeps messing up and I can’t hear my sounds.

Is the Alesis VI49 Compatible with mpc beats or fl studio?

FL Studio, yes MPC, not sure. But you can map it even if its not set up already to work with it

No Arturia Keylab essentials 49??

Please let me know the best keyboard which fit for FL Studio. Just like: 1. Komplete Kontrol S61 2. Arturia KeyLab 61 MkII 3. Novation Launchkey 61 MK3 4. Novation 61SL MK3 5. Nektar Panorama P series Please advise better than FL Key37. Where are these keyboards what I've mentioned above & where is FL Key37. Day & night comparison! I have the Arturia MKll 61, AKAI MPK 261, and the Novation SL MkIII each has great DAW control every bit as formidable as the Komplete Keyboard controller! and Modular control. The Arturia is built is Solid. The Novation MKlll may be the best Keyboard controller of them all. It does what they all do and an Internal eight-track pattern-based sequencer!

I had the mpk249 and the arturia keystep pro until i learned about the slmkiii. Sold both right away and am much happier with one piece of gear that does the job of two!

Well done guys, this is realy the best midi keyboard, good job, great..

AKAI MPK249 is great only for studio work and DAWS. Advantages: Compact, good pads. Disadvantages: 1. Not suitable for live stage work with external keyboard/Modules. Since AKAI keyboard transmits only one midi channel at a time 1 -16 global , which makes impossible using multitimbral midi channels all at ones and Impossible within the AKAI to split key zones, layers etc. 2. Keyboard rubber buttons are failed within couple of years of use. Some keys not playing at all, some keys giving high peak velocities which require cleaning and servicing. 3.Sustain pedal polarity is not configurable in the menu of AKAI. If sustain pedal does not have switch , buy new appropriate pedal . 4.Lack of soft editors and customer support. 5. Akai fails working connected to USB hub, but only connected strait to the computer or via adapter. Number of times is not recognized by Windows 10.

The Launchkey MKIII has a lot of the features these controllers have but I feel like it doesn't excel in any of it's features. Good starter keyboard but very mid in my opinion.

why'd they discontinue the korg triton???? just give me a damn kaoss pad with my midi controller as standard feature please

Title say's Top 5 keyboards for 2023, yet all the comments are from 3 yrs ago... seriously ! Click bait anyone ?. A lot has changed in 3 yrs. M-Audio Oxgen pro's have aftertouch, the M-Audio you listed here doesn't. No mention of Arturia's Keylab MK3 ? No mention of Novation's MK3 ? Oh wait, that's right, this stuff is from 3 yrs.

Why do all of these controllers have to feel like shit? I have an MPK249 (an older one) - and it's not horrible. I replaced the pads with MPCstuff Thick/fat pads - because the ones that came on it were 100% absolute trash. I tried soooo many controllers. All the new ones are absolute crap. I'd be happy to pay thousands of dollars for a decent controller - but they just don't exist anymore. I did find one controller in Europe that felt like a DX7 which was pretty great.
