@@Sharur1 thats fair, i agree that the subbass is a bit lacking even though its there, and the treble is rough depending on songs, probably because of the 3k spike (mind you the sharp mid treble can be eq'd or lessened by lossening the amount of clamp) aswell as a 10k dip. but that 10k dip i know ain't fixable. at least i got it on sale. but we can all agree that the cable in the box it comes with is utter trash
Finally someone who agrees sundaras are trash. I bought them and was genuinely confused why people like them
Judging speakers just by measurements is like judging a cars just by a dyno graphs. It is a tool but not necessarily the be all and end all of the overall performance.
I don't care about your vids except it makes me happy to hear somebody call the sundara trash

@@Sharur1 But we know from research that bass is preference, hence why I prefer it sometimes. What's interesting is that Optimum hifi is derived from a study on predicted preference of loudspeaker sound by b&k that predates harman's research. It's almost identical to harman's curve except for flat bass.

@@Sharur1 I mean it does look pretty nice, I'm a kicker for single sleeve ends. Found a very similar design and core count for around 30 bucks though. Some even sell ones with the exact same wire for 30-40.

Do you believe people should never promote products and provide affiliate links? I've seen it become a problem, but if a person has earned a respectable reputation and has generally respectable behavior patterns, should they never engage in promoting or affiliating? I believe that a balance can be achieved, but I would like to know what you think is generally acceptable or not. For myself, I don't believe promoting or affiliating automatically makes you a shill, eg. Linus tech tips, jaystwocents, but I am fully aware that many people do shill especially in the audio industry. I know it's extremely bad, especially cable pushers.

I think those links are fine if reviewers are transparent and behave with integrity. If they can't make a living, or at least recoup some of their cost, I don't see the benefit of loosing some interesting voices out there...

@@flyleaf2424 well having listened to Quarks the 3.5mm one it was nothing special boring lacks bass lacks treble too laid back plus it had little bit of shout like the popping sounds were just too loud shouty Chu was better than quarks but Chu is also trash bass lacking plasticky metallic shouty still There's a weird whisling treble in vocals in Chu which is annoying hissing noises too nasaly vocals I like little bit airy sound like a fresh air breath My preference mostly Emphasis on sub bass forward mids and a nicer airy treble

@@Sharur1 Well, audio science review also thinks they are good, with EQ for the bass, of course. But honestly the subbass region is not that important for classical music, which I listen to exclusively, so even without EQ it is fine with me. And the treble peaks work well with brass instruments.

You need to invest in a measurement rig and your channel will be top tier. You have the advantage of not spending money at expensive shitty IEMs/headphones and useless dacs/amps, like some reviewers do. So you should have some money left to buy a rig in the near future.
