I got an Remus System on my FL5 made a mod so my valve stays open and it sounds mental... kinda sad it didnt get featured in here. I can absolutly recommend it and freaking love it

HKS sounds the best to me, sounds like theres more bass

Armytrix & Milltek sounded best 💯 HKS for third place.

In all of the comparisons out there I rarely see the Spoon N1 exhaust mentioned and I think it sounds the best but haven't been able to find any clips done by the same recording to hear a side-by-side. Is it just the price that keeps it from being talked about?

The exhaust systems on these cars aren't that restrictive, I've heard people can go well above 500WHP on the stock exhaust, therefore dyno results are gonna be pretty negligible.

@@drewh22 This is pretty obvious... The Type R is a crap direct-injected turbo car.. So, exhaust is not going to have as large of an impact, especially on top of having a small, restrictive turbo as well... Then you throw the exact same setup on a older K series with amazing head flow and port injection, and exhaust will make a huge difference. These exhausts are all about sound, not power. The K20c1 is a very limited engine in terms of performance. This is why even 4-Piston ceased their R&D on the engine because it just wasnt worth it. They were getting tons of claims as well because, well, lets be real, a lot of people dont know know to tune direct-injection that well. So it was all a massive headache.

There are obviously pros and cons to both direct injection and port injection, and I would say it's still a pretty formidable engine that can handle well above the stock power levels that it comes with from the factory. Honda people are just spoiled to expect every engine that comes out of the factory to be able to handle boatloads of power and continue to scale to infinity, but the reality is that direct injection doesn't scale after a certain point. Direct injection is pretty nice though in terms of economy. None of the previous generations of Hondas make the same amount of power WITH the efficiency of the k20c1. The reality is that those older cars that you strap a turbo onto are terribly inefficient, and are just designed to make boatloads of power without ANY regard for economy. It's pretty amazing to be able to strap a few bolt ons to an Fk8, make 400-500WHP and still drive around town and get 23-28mpg. I wouldn't call that a "crap" direct injected turbo car. Also the fact that the Type R is designed to be a track car rather than a drag racing car should be considered as well. The Civic Type R is BY FAR a better all around track car than ANY car ever produced by Honda, and that's just a fact. You can hate on the engine all you want, but the car is leagues better than EVERY old Honda in the performance department around a real racetrack.

@@JonHop1 The fact that just saying an engine is crap because it's direct injected doesn't actually make it so? Not every engine needs to be designed with limitless potential. There are pros and cons to direct injection vs port injection, and there's a reason that more engines are coming out with the latter now more than the former... People care about emissions nowadays, whether you want to acknowledge that fact or not, and honda has to keep up with the times.

Raytrex, aew, milltek do not sound good to me at all. Apexi sounded good, hks as well. Honestly, just keep it stock and remove the res.

Honda had sweet sounding induction notes through the '90s to the early 2000s it is ruined now , trying to use mufflers to add sound that it is lost forever is sad. Honda needs to link Yamaha and get a tune

@@DampedCoast Yes Im the guy that posted the vids on the forum, I suspect no body has the exhaust installed other than the guys at SEEKER and myself. I was going to try get some more footage today but it started raining so next weekend will be my next try.

AWE does make some amazing European Exhausts, so that could be why!

The AWE in-car clips are absurd. All you can hear is the fake engine noise piped through the speakers. This video is just a re-issue of already existing exhaust clips, and they're all recorded at different times by different companies. What a rip-off this is..
