Well hoshiumi is a top 3 player in the whole series. However in the Haikyuu world he’s not seen as a traditional ace player, but more of an all rounder role, so I don’t think they include him in those rankings.

It may be true that haikyuu may hav said it but that was according to inter high. So after spring national it may change like even kurai hoshiyume,etc can also enter into list. But if we consider only best Ace in that spring national then Ushijima won't be in list😊

Aran Is by far the One with the highest Athletic abilities. The Number of times he spikes above the blockers Is Crazy. Asahi Is not close to that level.

Nah if its just pure athletic abilities, Hoshiumi far outmatches him. Hes not as strong but he still has a wicked fast swing (more important than base strength) as well as consistently goes OT over triple blocks

Sakusa might be the most slept on player in the series, like do you not realise he won nationals as a first year ace? People have kiryu above him 😂

Yeah sakusas technique and defense is actually really good for an ace and also his crazy spin. After nationals I'd take kiryu out of the top 3 and put bokuto in there cause of what we saw with the fuko v mujina match 💀

Nah, ushijima is the only one who represents japan while still at high school, Sakusa is super talented but Ushijima is just HIM.

It was mentioned in 2nd season in episode 11 Kuro told us top 5 aces that are Aran, bokuto,ushijima, kiryu, sakusa

Just a correction: During Season 2 Episode 11, Kuroo mentioned Ushijima, Kiryu & Sakusa as the Top3 Aces & for Top5 we only knew Bokuto was on of them Aran was never mentioned/ introduced until Season 4 Episode 13 of Haikyu.

Our favorite is bokuto but the truth hit hard 😭

Aoba Johsai's ace is Iwaizumi, not Mad Dog. Plus they won because of Oikawa. He is a carry, no matter what anyone says

In season 2 where they have barbecue scene, kuroo tells hinata and lev that even if the spiker is top 5, their team is not guaranteed to match it, followed by "even though the team sakusa is in, Itachiyama is a national favorite" so its purely on the spiker's skills. If not, aran would have been in the top 3 instead of kiryuu considering inarizaki stands on 2nd place for inter high

I think met top 5 would be Aran, sakusa, bokuto,ushijima, and hoshiumi

During the course of the series, Bokuto and Aran are the top 4 and 5 aces behind Kiryu, Sakusa and Ushijima. Asahi is a level below them imo but still a powerful cannon.

1.Kiryu (strongest spiker tool master captain of his team with recieves that exel any of the aces and is the core strength of japan when it comes to tooling especially with his ability to reverse block out hitting into the block and the ball goes out on his teams side but further) *legit in the manga 2.Sakusa (tactical spiker strong ability to flick especially with his flexible wrists causing a weird turns on his volleyball touches with excellent recieving skills) 3.ushiwaka (strong spiker with excellent reading and his power brings him up to top 3 where his power in serving and spiking overpowers everyone in the series) 4.Bokuto -my fav- (Smart tooling ideal Ace and with his tactical lineing and sharp crosses and he his recieving ability goes from using his hands legs and upperbody*chest*) 5.Aran (Strength Agility Air time he has all of that but he lacks in recieving but his strength was close to rival ushiwaka until the end where ushiwaka overpowers alot of the ppl) These are the manga/my opinion and knowledge of the animes top 5 asahi is good at all of the tiers but hes only A tier at most bc he still lacks strength

honestly, we barely saw Kiryu imo for him to be here, I get that hes good and one of the best but i can't put him here if we only saw like, one match of him against Fukorodani

People seem to miss the part where you said "by the end of nationals" when talking about Bokuto. This is obviously a manga ranking. And Bokuto being in the Top 3 is undisputed. Imho #1-3 is fully interchangable. All 3 share the Top 3 tbh. However, #4-5 is hard to say because we saw players like Asahi rise and prove themselves and we didn't that much aces outside of the one we talked about. Ojiro comes to mind but it's unclear how his career went after nationals.

Can we just take the canon ranking that's been given to us :) Although its not specifically said which one is number 1, 2, and so forth, we know that sakusa, kiryu, and ushijima are on the top 3, followed by aran and bokuto for the top 5. Again, although its not explicitly said, i believe that sakusa is the first place, followed by kiryu, ushijima, aran, and bokuto. This is because in the second season (barbecue scene ep 11) where kuroo explained to lev and hinata about the top 3 aces, the illustration is like an elevated podium for those rankings where sakusa is on top followed by kiryu and ushijima. For aran and bokuto's, its because in the 4th season part 1 ep 13, ukai said that aran is closest to the top three same with bokuto. Meaning he's in the top 5 and ukai also stated that if he's in a good condition, he has the potential to go beyond that. Not to say that bokuto doesnt have that 'potential' but this implies that aran is most likely the top 4th one. Also this ranking is made purely on the spiker's skills because in 2nd season ep 11, still on the barbecue scene, kuroo mentioned that even if the spiker is top 3 doesnt mean the team is also top three continuing with "even though the team sakusa is in, Itachiyama is a national favorite" because itachiyama does win the national during inter high after beating inarizaki. So even if we didnt know where kiryu and ushijima are placed on inter high, we know for sure they got to the nationals and there is just no way that fukurodani, shiratorizawa, and mujinazaka to all be placed in the same side as itachiyama. Which means that if it were to be ranked by the team, then aran would have been in the top three instead of the top 5.

The only difference which makes wakatoshi in 2nd is his accuracy is not as good as sakusa

I personally don’t think Ushijima is the best ace because despite him being able to hit the ball the hardest his spikes are not the hardest ones to receive, the hardest ones to receive would be Sakusa’s, because of the spin he puts on the volleyball

@@samarabarlow3685since you probably don’t know about volleyball so much I’ll get it right. First of all power is way more important than spin. For an example spin only effects receives and hardly does anything against blocks so most of the time having power that’s able too break through blocks are better. and not just that if you read the manga it’s said that Ushijima is also able to get a lot of spin as well so Ushijima easily the best.
