Be careful with doing this! Keeping your hair wet for hours and hours overnight is the number one way to cause hygral fatigue (or moisture overload) as your cuticles are swollen and open for long long periods of time, which eventually leads to the protein bonds in your hair breaking down. So it’s actually not healthy for your hair in the long run or continuously :)

  • @zzzCUPcake123

Mirta Craft that’s true the balance is so important! But after a certain amount of time your hair would have absorbed all it can, that’s why directions normally tell you how long to leave it on for as adding extra hours isn’t necessary. If it hasn’t penetrated into your hair after the suggested time then the formula isn’t for your hair.

#1 is why I stopped going to the African hairbraiders. I got some micros and while the lady was braiding she kept yanking on my head and I told her she was braiding that particular spot too tight. When I took the braids out two of them took my hair out down to the scalp. That part of my hair no matter what I do to it now does not grow like the rest of my hair.

I just realized that one of the reasons why my hair is not progressing is because I don't use a deep conditioner or hair masque though I do deep condition, but I deep condition using a conditioner and not a deep conditioner. I do everything else and that one thing is preventing hair growth and retention. Thank you soooo much for the video. You girls look amazing as always. Keep up the good work.🤗

I got lazy and instead of re-purchasing my deep conditioner after running out, I started using a rinse out conditioner instead and there was a noticeable difference in the health of my hair (for the worse). I recently bought some more deep conditioner and I already see huge changes in how shiny and moisturized my hair is. Like my curls are poppin and all I use is cream 🙌🏽

Definitely here for this, I’m late but here!!! Love the tips. I used to do the ponytails a lot when younger too!!! Now not so much! My hair is more free. And yes yes yes to deep conditioning. I started weekly when I transitioned and now I’m fully natural and celebrating my 3 years at the end of this month! My hair is always moisturized for the most part, unlike at the beginning (transitioning phase and big chop phase), I didn’t understand why my hair was so dry. Natural hair doesn’t have to always be dry, great tips!!! I always sleep in mine! I put my shower cap and put a t shirt over it😅I put my bonnet on as soon as I get home, lol. Bra off, bonnet on! Period! Lol. I use a silk bonnet and a silk pillow case. Just in case! You can get silk pillow cases for $1 at the dollar tree, in black. At SOME dollar trees!!! My mom found them! I purchased my scrunches at Tjmaxx or Marshall’s like 10 for $5.99, all black, satin scrunchies...anywho I do all dis...so I’m on the road to long hair!!! You ladies are hair goals!!!🥰😍😘

Love this, sometimes when I am being lazy and hate sitting under a dryer, I warm up a hot towel, I wrap my hair up with a plastic cap with deep conditioner, then I wrap it again in the hot towel and put another plastic bag, and then a turbie twister to help deep conditioning haha. it's a lot, but it works :)

You guys hit the nail on the head. During the end of last year and beginning of this year I have been getting protective styles (feed in braids, box braids, etc) to give my hair a break cause I had got really bad heat damage and once I took the braids out the final time I noticed soooo much breakage. Some pieces are so short and broken off near my scalp I was so sad. This quarantine has been he time I really needed to start taking better care of my hair. Now I have a routine and stick to it and my hair is getting better. Still not where it was but I am sure with consistency it will get there.

@Nyesha Harris It's not the stylist fault. Those braids are damaging to hair and hair follicle. My edges started thinning from the tightness & gel.

Ok ladies I have had silk pillow cases in and out online carts. Im.pulling the plug. I definitely used to be once and month or once in a while type of deep conditioning type of person, but since watching yoir.videos over the last year I do it twice a.montj and have noticed a huge difference in my daughter and I hair. So thank you for the advice and product recommendations!! Missed yall content. Keep it comming!!!

Adding a little heat to the deep conditioner... game changer! I experience excessive breakage from a versatile sew in & literally after deep conditioning with a little oil added and after two months, my hair had completely filled back in
