rome8180 mine too. Spent hours and hours learning it. Still my favourite of all time. I play it with an acoustic guitar player and it really lets the bass shine. Awesome.

One Hot Minute is the second best album they put out. The first is Uplift Mofo Party Plan

this video made me smile and almost cry at the same time. i am a female bass player and my favorite band from my childhood is the chili peppers. at age 27, i suddenly became obsessed with the idea of becoming a better bass player (although people tell me i'm too old for it now), and her facial expression while she's acing the basslines that i've heard millions of times since age 12 is why i suddenly became motivated again and why i love music so much.

Great playing! Flea has probably been the most influential bassist in my life.

"Come my lay-day, come, come my lay-day. You're my butterfly. Sugar. Baby." I was pretty shocked when I realized that was a RHCP sample. I mean, Flea made even Crazy Town sound good for a minute there.

@@greenbrothersuk yeah, I agree. I am a guitar player, and hysteria is kinda the only thing I know on the bass and I could play it any moment. But all the bass parts of Muse's songs are really beautiful. Like the triplets in Uprising or the Plug in baby part. Or the slap thing in Panic station It isn't hard, but it's really beautiful, mostly because of the rhythms.

I think RHCP is two bands. Everything up to Blood Sugar Sex Magic and then everything after. I can stomach One Hot Minute, but not a damn thing after that. If you’re looking for Flea’s most compelling work, I think it’s to be found in all their older stuff. And I totally agree - that bass line rips.

My favorite song too ! It's the first time I read someone to talk about this song. Each time I read or see something about Red Hot songs or Flea, it's always the same things. Can't Stop, Around The Wolrd, Give It Away, Higher Ground. But One Big Mob is to me a great bassline. Thank you bro !
