Top 4 Businesses That Can Make U A Billionaire In 2022

If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.
Keep crushing. May your desires be greater than your obstacles.
Never quit,
Alex

I've been talking about warehousing and shipping for years. Every company I've done work for has had problems with fluctuating production volume and they refuse to warehouse product because of the cost. In the mean time their turn over rate is astronomical because one month their employees are working 20 hrs a week and the next month they need them to work 60-80 to keep up with demand. That's only one side of the coin as some companies have too much demand and nowhere to put it.

I would nix the shipping business. I was in that business for 20 years. In California at least, there has been a shortage of drivers for the last 7 years. It may be a great industry, but if you can't find and keep drivers, your ability to grow is severely limited. The exceptions are FedEx, UPS, DHL and companies like Amazon because they can pay top dollar and can afford new equipment more frequently. Quality drivers flock to these companies. If you have a small business, you get the misfits and those who don't keep steady jobs and fall back on "driving" because it is easy.

I don't think those two things are exclusive. You have a very new and speculative market, but the potential rewards are much higher as well. That means, that there's a lot of unknowns, compared to established markets, where you have a better "blueprint" of what to do...but so does everyone else.

He said NFTs, DeFi, Web3.0. Associated with crypto, not crypto itself. Build a business providing services for the blockchain and crypto. Not trading crypto itself. Trading crypto is speculative with all of the random coins everywhere. If you want to do anything with crypto you need to learn about the actual ecosystem and what is possible with it. You are thinking about it like the public does. You are thinking about the coin itself and trading it like stocks. You need to be looking at the technology itself and what it can be used for not trading coins.

I feel like an NFT ought to be more secure and not with META, the company is bankrupting itself. Hopefully people start open source VR more and the market opens up! Meanwhile… people would probably like NFT’s for specifically electric panels for their house to have the art that’s high definition but hopefully lower cost. The idea is that we need to change the way we think about people’s desires and how they influence demand, cheap and high quality housing that’s long-term (concrete, maybe with graphene for structural integrity) or low term ultra low cost types of buildings (mycelium bricks).
I've been thinking about starting a coaching business. I spent around 2m of my own money on ads to my own businesses and I'd like to to teach what I've learned. But you and many other greats also say to focus and do one thing at a time. So I don't know if I should kill my initial business and move on, or just keep doing what I'm doing. I sell clothing and it feels like everything is getting much harder from every direction. When e learning is going the opposite way. I'm open to opinions. Haha
@musabw.m.ndayisaba1253
Жыл бұрын
I'd advise you to build up an exit strategy, and remove yourself almost entirely from the activities within your current business (i.e. hire and/or train someone/people to do what you do). As you do this, you should probably start creating a social media personal brand to drive traffic to this upcoming coaching business (you don't want to come in selling courses to people. I think Alex understands this as well hence his "I have nothing to sell you" strategy), then once you're minimally involved in your clothing business, go full throttle into the coaching business. Another approach you could take, if you don't want to be like all the other thousands of social media influencers with a course business, is you can also go into the e-learning market from a software angle (think: a platform like skillshare). This is much more expensive and risky, especially if you decide to bootstrap it, but it's a lot more unique and it's a young industry so there's definitely more big players to come in the near future - might as well be you. However, my expertise doesn't lie in this field so I might be missing some things within what I just said - just my two cents. Hope you find some value in it. Whatever you choose to do, good luck in the years ahead man.
