The stumps are not so hard the problem is that the bowler does not bowls very fast. They bowl around 130 kph. To get a stump flying wicket they should bowl around 145 kph

Definitely there were thousands of TV in India, but in rich people house. But yes, no broadcasting. So TV which was imported, was a showcase item then. My Grandfather had one. . Be specific on the point..... That there was no broadcasting. 😜😜😜

That delivery from mohammed asif to vvs laxman was rated as the best or second best delivery of the century by espncricinfo. Yes definitely amongst the greatest talents. Even the great Shoaib Akhtar had said he had not seen anyone who could swing the ball like him.

@@martinspencer366 Question, how fast do you think his fastest delivery could have reached , I mean some have said 105 mph , do you think that is possible, I mean what I have seen it’s bloody darn fast and bloody well dangerous as well . Thommo and Lillie did not mess around and Lillie on his day could reach near enough 100 mph as well , two vastly different techniques but they had the same effect of making the batsman very unsure of what was about to happen and add skid, bounce and swing not something anybody would want to face ……

And add to that the immense economic clout of our BCCI and the match-fixing reign in the international cricket and you'll understand the emergence of India Glorious, and Boys in blue series and so on. I've stopped long since cricket matches where India is concerned.

The best deliveries are not here, I am talking about the bullets bowled by Shoaib Akhtar to Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid in Kolkata in 1999. Those balls stormed through Sachin and Dravid uprooted their off and middle stumps. No bowler has ever achieved this feat of getting out two top order batsmen in two successive deliveries that too via clean bowled.

Great to watch, raw pace and swing it's totally missing these days, all are bowling slower deliveries and variations. Wasim was missing!

What an excellent video. Thank you. I am reminded of the probably apochryphal story of the bowler who has a batsman LBW but the umpire says no. The same is repeated the next ball and the umpire says no. The bowler, being really annoyed by this sends down a lightning delivery and takes out the middle stump. HE turns to the umpire and says "I nearly had him that time".

In 1986 Raju kulkarni bolded Imran khan on full toss delivery..stump flyed amazingly..
