Rhodes catch shouldn't even be in the top 100. There are at least 2 catches by Roger Harper, a catch by Greg Matthews off Ian Botham, and a catch by Jordan Silk that should be in the top 4

Boults catch was great, it was hit bloody hard, everything was timed perfectly

Catches inside 30 yd circle are best catches when compared to boundry line. Reason being fielder will have no more that a few milliseconds to react and the ball would be travelling. Boundry catches, fielder has time to judge it, he can get a run up and time his dive but 30 yd, its instinct , take off from where you stand in the direction of the ball and make it stick, then the landing should be soft else ball will pop up.

Agree with the John Dyson catch, and Steve Smith has taken about 3 that SHOULD be in that top 10. At one point he was taking one every game that should have made it.

I saw a catch in under 16s when I was playing my team-mate hit a flat ball was headed for 6 and the fielder and captain had to run, jump, catch the ball on his wrong hand upside down and land on a hard as nails sheep paddock and hold onto the ball. Now there have been better catches most definitely but for the supposed skill level for a small town kid, the fact he played in the summer only and once a week, and the surface he caught it on makes it the best catch I have ever seen, easily. 20 years ago and I still remember it vividly.

u forgot to add my friend's (umesh)catch while doing his leg umpiring.it really happend in early 80s.he threw ball quickly after the catch he just stood as leg umpire at his place innocently.
