If the Angelo Mathews effort, if recorded in the scorecard as caught Jayawardena then it has to be considered an ordinary catch. Unlike the rest of the catches in the video, it is the incredible assist that stands out not the catch itself. Absolutely brilliant effort by Angelo Mathews. How many players could think of and executive it so brilliantly.

Paul Collingwoods catch of Mathew Hayden will always be the best catch in the history of cricket. Go watch that catch. It's out of this world.

I don't know who make these videos and ratings but there are at least 4 catches that won't make top hundred if considered conditions. With all due respect to jadeja as one of the best fielders of all time, his catch on # 6 is not worth in the top 10. This is called partiality.

Excellent catches. Really a pleasure to watch them. But, is it fair to consider a catch legitimate, when an out of balance player goes outside the cricket field - keeping the ball in play, and then returning into the field to complete the catch? Somehow, an out of balance player going out of the playing field to gain balance and time, and returning to complete the catch does not seem fair at all. But catch being completed by another player who is within the playing field seems fair. I think technical committee of ICC has to deliberate on this and amend ‘Rules of Cricket’ suitably.
