I started to learn how to play the guitar in May 2023. My guitar was made in 1984, the same year I was born. I prefer nylon strings, they aren´t that sharp, but they give me a warm feeling. Dude - so glad I found this page!! You are awesome. Obviously massively talented, AND able to explain things in ways that a total beginner like me can understand. I've been wanting to learn to play for 10 years and kept giving up. Just inherited a Martin D16GT when my father died a few months ago. I think it's time I take this guitar and start learning for real. So overwhelming trying to figure out the best approach to learning. I want to understand the language of music-- notation and theory-- want to learn guitar and piano-- want to play favorite songs and someday write my own songs, as I am a poetry writer. Anyway. Glad I found this page.

Charles Young He offers an online course now. It seems very legitimate, and seeing the quality of his videos gives me faith his course is top notch. I would definitely check it out.

Gorgeous. & why I've been studying with Paul with his amazing Learning Courses. In addition to being a phenomenal Guitarist, he is equally a phenomenal Teacher!

I’ve never had this experience before, but when he played “Sound of Silence” I just couldn’t help but to sing along

the background is surprisingly satisfying i love the look of the house!

For me as a huge guitar fan Paul Davids' videos are really outstanding, on top of that he is incredibly likeable and humorous!

Wow I really enjoyed this amazing job. I felt a deep sense of peace come over me while watching and listening to you play thank you.

I love how I know all these songs, every time he switched to a different song the next would bring me different memories. Now I can listen to some of these songs that I had forgotten about.

I'm playing the guitar for 13 years now. Yet I have to admit I'm not anywhere near you when it comes to "clean playing". Not a single snarry string sound, that's ... a statement. Also I'm glad you had "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" by LZ in your list. It's a must do for everyone on the acoustic guitar although I was wondering why you missed "Dust in the Wind" in such a list. But there are already enough guys complaining about missing songs here (how dare you not to cover all 2 billion acoustic songs on this planet in your list?!). Keep it up mate.

I'm not saying practise does not matter, but guitar makes a huge difference in that case. On some guitars you cant even play single chord without strings buzzing

You guys didn't know? He used a software known as autocleaning. It is very similar to auto tuning with the difference that when the sound gets to a minimal threshold of sound the software turns that little interference noise into absolute silence. The software is intelligent too. It may correct bad fingerings and poor sound projection, making even real mediocre jerk guitar players into awesome ones. If you want a software like this, let me assure you, I was kidding the entire time. Paul plays awesome and let never be such a stupid thing that replaces human playing. Good day mates!

Just be patient, man. I've been playing since I was 12 and I'm about to turn 41. Just this year I've made vast improvements on my clarity and I'm a much less sloppy player than I was last year. We all evolve at different rates.

You're doing great job, always pleasure to watch you playing. There is something very calming about you.

I am so surprised that "Trains" appeared here and people actually know it. PT is really niche, which is a shame, cause they are easily on par with Radiohead when it comes to truly innovative music in the last 20 years.

Who here thinks Paul Davids is awesome? Because most of the comments I'm seeing is just complaining or judging how he plays. Let me just say that he's amazing and anyone who says he isn't, just shut up. Speaking from experience what he is doing is done hard to do stuff, so keep up the good work man. 👏👏👏
