I would choose the Tasmanian Tiger. The reason they went extinct was stupid because they were only misunderstood and the only creature in the world that could open its jaw wider than any other animal disappeared in 1936.

@@guus5504 Most of the animals on that list went extinct........because of us humans, one way or another. And we caused them to go extinct much, MUCH faster than they would have naturally, which usually takes MILLIONS of years, not a couple hundred or even couple thousand years. So yes, you are right when you say the vast majority of animals that have existed on this earth are already extinct. But in the context of this video, that logic doesn't really apply, because those animals went extinct due to natural causes, and not because of human interference like all the recent extinctions have.

I feel that at least 1 member of the Phorusrhacids, or as they are better known, the Terror Birds should have been on this list; a group of birds that included species (e.g. Phorusrahchos, Kelenken, and Titanis) that grew 6-10 feet tall, could potentially run faster than a horse, had a beak that might have had the ability to crack bone with just one powerful peck, and sat at the top of South America's food chain for tens of millions of years, at one point even coexisting with, and possibly dominating, a species of Smilodon (which, despite popular belief, almost certainly did not drive them to extinction) for a decently lengthy period of time
