Definitely help your son keep his cards in great condition, and please don't get rid of or let him get rid of his cards. I hate myself for getting rid of the first generation Pokemon collection (I was a kid and didn't know any better plus 400$ I got for them at the time was a great deal ...) . I had the complete set of all the cards and I regret it to this day. Now I'm slowly getting them back.
Great video man! Keep it up and looking forward to seeing more videos in the future.👍
I started collecting back in the early Black & White era. I was just a kid then and didn't know about sleeves and binders. Definitely wish started sleeving and using binders earlier. I have many old school ultra rares and holos that are just like super warped and probably would be a PSA 4 now. Can't stress enough sleeves and binders. And the binders display the cards in a cool way, and having an organized shelf of binders is very cool as well.

What I would do to go back in time to convince younger me to take care of my cards. I think I had some fossil cards just scattered around the house.
Yup, good lesson for everyone starting. I'd be in better shape had I known, but of course adjust and keep pressing on and learning from mistakes;)

Well said!
Great video! New to the Pokemon & KZread community & getting a binder is definitely something I should have gotten from the beginning!

Welcome to the community! The only setback is finding space for all the binders I have now haha
As a beginner myself, biggest lesson learnt, cracking packs is a huge waste of money. Go onto online stores and grab the singles you like and chase.

It can truly be a sneaky money spender. I now find myself doing a nice balance of pack opening and single hunting!
Collected English sets from Base, Fossil, and Jungle. Japanese sets from Team Rocket, Gym Challenges, and Gym Heroes. Then I stopped until the end of SWSH. One thing I wish we HAD when I was a kid was ringless binders. My cards, considering they were collected by a kid in 1999 are all in great shape, but if we had today's binders they would be even better. I know I have a few 10s in there, most are 9s or 8s with the some being 6-7. Nowadays cards get immediately babied.

Yeah, for sure! I’ve come to appreciate my ring-less binders so much. I don’t baby my cards as much as others, but we do live in an era of preservation. A great time for collectors.
Great advice. I finally broke down and got a binder for my S&V cards (might try and complete). Nice Calyrex pull btw!

Woohoo! I think it’s doable!
Always use penny sleeves in anything unless you want all your foils to get scratched up and love your psa10 possibilities

Great video
nice video bro
Just started collecting and I have one binder that has most of my cards from one set in it. Everything else is organized and divided off by a QR code card that breaks up the other sets and they're all put in a trainer's tool kit box. I definitely need to get a new binder for duplicates since I made the mistake of also buying when I bought the trainer box a beginner's deck battle deck that was pre-built so I have a lot of duplicates. I do have all of my holos/reverse and foils in sleeves though but not in a binder which I really need to do.

I also started out putting stuff in a toolkit! Since I made this video, I added like 3 more binders to organize everything.
Great video. Always want to learn MORE.

💀 I SIMPly appreciate brown beauty
The biggest thing for me is just have fun for example the only full atr trainer cards I can pull are the rainbow rares so I joke with my friends that my chase is just one normal full art trainer. I'm not spending a lot of money on the hobby

That’s a great point also, I can’t stress that enough! I’d probably also say manage your expectations too. There has been times where I saved up some cards and didn’t pull too much.
151 will be so hard to tell if they be in good value few years. Due to the fact that - Less rares due to 151 pokemons 151 only has 151 pokemons Maybe the majority of fans prefer the 1000s of pokemon not just the 151 On the other hand Maybe this will be like a once off original release? As in they wont do this 151 originals for a long time? Only time will tell. The charizard upc didnt too well in reselling after 1 year. Maybe next year itll go up 100$ more in value?

They did XY Evolutions and people ate that up since it was reprints of the originals. At least for the sealed ETBs, I know they fetch a pretty penny now a days. But you can say that for any sealed product years later
❤🎉 good luck ❤🎉
What is your favourite set at the moment? Im looking forward to getting my hands on some 151 because that charizard is stunning.but like you said I might just buy the single card as it will probably be better value than spending lots of money to try and pull it.

Great question! Crown Zenith all the way, but I’m loving the Scarlet Violet base set too since I’m trying to complete it. I’m excited for the 151 set to come to the west. I’ll see how far I get from my initial haul. From there I’ll have to see if I want to buy some singles.

@@KebinTCG nice! Crown zenith is a great set, what I like about it is there's so many hits you can never get bored opening it and the pull rates are high.

I use my ETB sleeves for extra special cards in my collection. Top loaders are great too, but I’d say it depends on the person/purpose.

Oh no! Yeah, we are in a golden era of protecting cards. Do it while you can!
Almost got confused when you said buy singles early. You mean early in your collecting career not early when a set is released. For the most part a few months after a set is released, when another set is released and it's off everyone's mind, is a good time. Or after reprints etc. .

Great point made! The prices do go a bit lower after a new set is out.
