fbisono66 well on my first day, a guy was about to beat the crap out of me on my second door. day 3 i managed to cover 20 doors in an hour. unfortunately i havent been trained for objection handling, so my numbrs are extremely low. the lower level guys can get a sale per 20. the higher level guys were getting a sale per 10. since i have bad closing and objection handling, i have can barely get 1 sale lol. day 4 after the weekend. fingers crossed.

Going after the "Nos" is huge, I lead a team of door to door sales, after listening to your story on the "Nos" competition, I implemented as well. The best thing I saw come out of it wasn't just the higher sales, but was watching my brand new reps overcome their fears and land sales. It really works!

He's absolutely right about the "Go for No" rule. It is all about overcoming your fear of being told, "No!" or "I'm not interested." If you're scared of asking every person you approach, you don't bother asking them. The more people you speak with and ask, the more your odds are of getting a "Yes please!" It really is a numbers game in cold calling, or retail sales in the High Street or mall. I'm going to go for this one on my next day in work. I don't mind thousands of "No!" of it gets me a big fat cheque at the end of the month. Small price to pay. I'm starting to love the idea of rejection. :) Thank you Brian.

Great video Brian! I first learned about you back in the early 90's from a mentor of mine and bought your book "Focal Point" which I have kept to this day! I have been in B2B Sales for over 25+ years and identify with all the points you make. It's tough when you are first starting out in sales but everything you do and learn along the way inevitably makes you a stronger Sales Person. The other important thing I would add is to "Always Be Curious" and remain interested in what you can do every day to get better! Take care!

+pR1MeYwL99 It's ok my friend. As a freshly new entrepreneur, I'm receiving many "No's" every single day. But one of the best things has happened so far to me as a "freshman" in the sales & marketing industry, I had one very successful salesman straight up told me that I'm very stubborn and such a brave salesman for keeping up my consistency. After that day, I have gotten better and better because I know I am going to grow much stronger in the future. More importantly, learning how to overcome objections means you are getting used to overcoming your fears, because hearing the word "No" is what you will have to deal within in the sales industry; so the more you're used to hearing no, the easier you will move on to the next client. I hope you'll keep doing your best at what are you doing, because no entrepreneur will be successful if he/she has never suffered through depression to become the best! Good luck my friend, I hope I will hear from you more in the future :)

Been very productive at several auto dealerships , but have never been 100% committed since this is a very difficult business. I will no longer keep one foot out the door and will make the calls to seek the no’s . Nice video.

I work in lawn care and do sales in the off season. I totally agree with the whole no thing. Lots of people like to string you along so at least if you get a no out of them then it provides some closure. Then you can move on to the next prospect.

Hey Brian, Love the ideas. So true...model the best...have to be totally committed to making your sales success happen. It's always the fear of rejection that stops people in their tracks. Know how to handle the objections....knowledge can be power if and when used correctly. Best, Dan
