    @@mkp3824 That's a shame. I don't care for the new models.

@chrisoleary9876 Yeah, they've gone straight to making as much money as possible. First, cutting out Boston Boatworks, building their own factory. They're concentrating on outboards because they're cheaper to make. They're following the Doug Zurn designs that he's made for Boston Boatworks and Shelter Island yachts with the MJM 4, with that open bow. But to tell you the truth, they're not selling well. They're doing okay, but not like they did with previous models, 40z and 50z. They've gotten away from diesels but still have them available. They also recently sold out the company to a huge firm that will now take over financial operations. The new boats are nice, but they're not what a lot of people attracted to MJM are looking for. The 3 and 4 are bow riders. The 42 looks nice, but we'll see.

@@mkp3824 I couldn't agree more. Money, greed and cutting costs seem to be the motivation for these circumstances. Maybe the new owner will go back to the fan favorites...we can hope. P.S. not real impressed with new models.

@chrisoleary9876 it's the same owner, but they're backed by a corporation that has invested in them. These models are good. But they'd be better if the others were still available. I don't know if Doug Zurn had input on them or not. If you've noticed, the "Z" is now missing. They got into a copyright dispute with SeeVee boats, who also designated their boats with a "Z." I also learned that they sued Doug Zurn for his input on the new Boston Boatworks designs. Not the same company that Pete's dad, Bob Johnstone, founded.

@malmotumotu5218 they sold very well. If you see my comments to someone else, you'll see that they got into it with Doug Zurn after they broke away from Boston Boatworks, claiming that the new Boston Boatworks models that he designed were just knockoffs of the 40z and 50z. (The BB44 and BB52). They went to court over it as they broke away from Boston Boatworks in 2022 and built their own factory in Washington, SC. They have been in court over the Zurn activities as well as having to drop the "Z" designation because of a lawsuit they filed against SeeVee and I believe lost, as SeeVee had also been using a "Z" in their model designations. I think all of the previous designs, being Zurn designs (29z, 34z, 35z, 36z, 40z, 43z, 59z, 53z), have been discontinued because of Zurns contract. Also, in 2022 or so, the company was handed down from Bob Johnstone to his son, Peter. In the last 6 months, they have sold the interest of the company to a big conglomerate. So, it's just not the same company as it was a few years ago. I love all the models, but the older ones are the nicest.
