This lady is spreading this precious knowledge for watercolour beginners free of cost. Love her for this. People out there are charging so much just for basic lessons n here she is teaching so many intricacies so honestly without charging a penny. Gratitude is what I have in my heart for her. God bless her n her family

Thank you so much! ❤️
Thank you for addressing these issues. Also, I LOVED your encouragement near the end of the video where you talked about not giving up and learning with each piece. Sometimes I tend to get frustrated with all of my mistakes and walk away from it, only to return feeling defeated and inadequate. Your encouragement is greatly appreciated ❤️
I started painting in watercolor this week and these are the mistakes that I didn't know I was doing 😅 I thought I was doing okay. So glad I stumbled upon this video
Using a mr clean magic eraser erases most watercolor mistakes!! It’s my favorite hack!!
I love how you explain this tipe of things that are very common to everybody and at the same time nobody can't find someone so reliable and great at explain it so we can understand, practice and improve our technique. You're the best! I'm learning a lot thanks to you. I send you a big hug from Colombia 🌿❤️🌺
I have never seen a more helpful video on watercolor technique than this one! Congrats Emma, and thanks, thanks, thanks a million!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have been struggling with the first 2 mistakes and needed detailed explanations and you provided them!
Thanks Emma. I’m a beginner and this has really helped me get the hang of how much water I should use. I couldn’t find a tutorial that actually showed me how to mix the paint from a palette so I’m glad I stumbled across this.
Loved yr tutorial. Am just getting back into watercolours after several years of no painting. Found the water tips really helpful, never watched anything like that before. Thank u for sharing your knowledge 💐
I had a problem with splatter once and instead of covering it i splattered the whole drawing and it looked pretty cute in the end ^ u ^
Great advice! I try to have a scrap piece of watercolor paper nearby to test paint before painting on the good paper 👍
Thank you for the great advice, Emma! Super excited to continue my journey in watercolour! 😊💚🌿🎨
Thank you so much for this video! I needed it so much. As a beginner and a left hander Ive found it hard to find someone to break it down as much as you do. Also thank you for reminding us we are human....and to have fun
The white ink is genius! Thank you so much for the tips!
Extremely useful. Every video of yours is a learning for the better.
Thanks for this video. I am new to watercolour painting and this has encouraged me to keep going! Thanks
It’s awesome how encouraging you are!!!
This was a really great video, thank you! I'd been struggling to find one that was really completely back to basics with things like how to wet the colour in the pan
This video is really helpful, thank you for reviewing common mistakes for budding watercolor artists.
As someone who just started with watercolor, I very much appreciate this very useful tips! Thank you!!!
Thank you for this video. I am just starting with watercolour. I have definitely been 'too dry' so far. Your easy going approach gives confidence.
OMG you are an AMAZING teacher. I wish my art teacher at college had told me all these techniques. THANK you!!!
Such a necessary lesson, Emma. You are the only one who taught me how to make a very light wash for florals. It took a couple of months to have it "soak in" (pardon my pun!), but it's astonishing how very little minute amounts of pigment are needed. I would still have a value of 5 for my florals were it not for your important lessons. And I do mean VERY little pigments are needed, even Cotman colors (which I adore!). In the very beginning I used to accidentally use a dry brush technique for my flowers, loading my brush straight out of the tube with my Michael's/Reeves brand wc's. Talk about dry, flat, dead color! LOL Anyway, you taught me all I needed to know about light values and appropriate wet colors. Great lesson. Thanks, Em! :) Frances Turano Denver, CO
You just addressed the exact issues I have as an absolute beginner! Thank you!
Thank you from this beginner. This is truly helpful!!!! 💐

These mistakes are like blocks to your patience and eagerness as a beginner..Thanks for removing them..very helpful..Thank you ♥️
Splendid tips, thank You sooo much.
One thing I learned is when a paint splatter dries, I can use a small piece of magic eraser and after I wet the magic eraser it will take the paint splatter off.

you can also lift darker ones off the paper: first blot, then add a little water, blot again and repeat if necessary. this even works w dark colors.
Emma, I found your 3 common mistakes very informative. Made me see how to control the water and paint. I make those mistakes a lot. I feel that I am wasting my paint 😢

Hey Emma. I love your natural and lovely way to talk about this kind of art. You explain it in a very calm and interesting way and the fact, that you explain it to people, who are not able to spend a lot of money in it is really gorgeous. Can not wait to see more of your videos. Remain the way you are! :) All the best and an enjoyable christmas time from vienna, PHILIPP
Very help full thanks
You are my new favorite to learn from😊
This is so useful for me. Thank you Emma 😁😇😆
Thank you!
Very useful tips. Learned a lot. I really appreciate that 😌👍
Thanks Emma! This was helpful. I've painted with both acrylic and oil. You're right about watercolor being totally different. I'm finding the adjustment to be tricky. 😯 Question: How do you keep Bee watercolor paper from warping or buckling? Is taping it down the answer? I've done that and so far I'm not having much luck. Help!
Very helpful ❣
Thank you. 👍
I must try these in my paintings..really cool stuff Emma😍👌

Love your videos.
You're so lovely and helpful, thank you :)
“.... you’re painting this beautiful masterpiece.....” that’s a nice thought 😛
Great thank you
Thanks. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Also, I have scrubber brushes to scrub out small mistakes. You do have to be careful not to ruin the paper, but it can fix the little splatters. And, also, I usually just go w/ it & splatter the whole painting, especially florals, it can really add to the piece!
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate it…
WoW Thank you, those are my mistakes. Now to practice the right way.
Ty.. ur awesome😊
Great. Ty
