I’m 176cm just turned 16 I’ve played basketball for 7 years and I think you guys don’t understand how high this man can jump, judging by naked eye, he could easily dunk while I’m here able to touch the backboard at best and this guy can dunk... extremely impressive it makes me wanna plat volleyball

That guy can more than just dunk. I'm 176cm and I can dunk a volleyball/grab rim with 2 hands and on a normal net I only get my chin above. This guy gets his nipples up there. Easily can dunk on 10'8

That's usually what ends up happening in pro volleyball, tall, powerful and high jumpers start getting most of the spots, even tall setters are showing up. You can learn volleyball but you can't learn height :). Smaller players with great jumping ability tend to get tired and fatigued faster as the match goes on, while tall players don't need to exert themselves both to jump high and spoke hard.

And if you have a good vertical then your highest point will be higher, therefore giving you an advantage over people with not so good verticals. Even if you hit a ball at its peak, it won’t matter if your vertical is shit.

For volleyball players to actually stay competitive they have to be at least above 5,6-7 because even if you have a 54 inch vertical. You still have to use 100% of your legs just to get there. Shorter players have to go through more fatigue than a taller player.

0:02 last 5 years ago, during my grand reunion, my grandma’s sister said that to me that Penuel is my cousin.. That time i was still Grade 5 and i dont know about him.. 4 years later, my grandma showed me that Penuel Josh Barrina is my cousin.. that time i know him but i dont believe them that we’re cousins, My grandma Henriette Estabillo and Leila Estabillo-Barrina are sisters.. me and Leila are talking to phone and i asked her (she lives in USA and i live in Philippines)“is this true Penuel is my cousin?” she said “yes, he’s your cousin”. I was shock that she really said it. so i checked his YT channel that he also play Volleyball.. i also play volleyball but i didnt reach the nationals which is sad.. I was happy and shock that his vertical jump was SOO high that i coudn’t do it.. I said to Leila that “when Penuel is going to the Philippines?” she said, “soon after the pandemic is over”. im 50/50 excited and worried 1. i was excited to see him in person 2. im worried that when the pandemic is over if you guys wont believe me, i asked my grandma’s sister last year. sadly my grandma passed away last November, i saw Leila with Penuel, she said all about my grandma. after that, she said to me in video, “ Vincent, this is your cousin, Penuel” he hello to me in video. My heart was pumping so fast and hard at the same time. He said that Leila or his grandma that i also play volleyball, He really wants to meet me in person soon after the pandemic is over.

Although it must be really nice to jump this high, they must also consider the possible injuries they might occur if they land in an awkward way. Ex. 1-foot landing

notice how the second guy (ace jumper) jumps. His approach is for a right hand spiker but he's left handed. Imagine if he goes to his left handed approach, I think his vertical will be even higher damnnnn

I'm always wondering if my two feet jumps were bacause I use my right foot at my 3rd step and I'm righr handed. Is that ok or should I switch my 1st and last step to my left foot?

he is goofy footer(that is what they call it)i am left too and my approach is like his.. its probably because i always use to train with right wing spikers and i copied them, never tried to correct it.. and i hit beter on the when i am the right side i sometimes even step out to hit cross court.. if you want to see another goofy footer you should check natalia gonchorova

Zion would be stupid good in the league he’d have one of the highest spikes ever, the most powerful spider ever(can break rims), would already have spiking abilities from his alley oops and to top it off he’d play opposite because he’s a left handed. That shit would be beyond unfair!
