Protip about the airNET - if you want to cut the back 2 loops off, you can actually tuck the frayed ends into the little pockets they come out of (see 5:23 for a close-up) so it's completely seamless, like they were never even there.

No love for the Blue Ice Addax? All the same features as these and can be had on sale for under $100.

Loved seeing Nathaniel Coleman in Edinburgh wearing a Petzl Altitude (if I recall). As far as harnesses, I have a Mammut Sender which I chopped the front loops from. Marginal in weight, but the weight is about lack of feeling there and anything obtrusive to restrict movement or catch, and as nice as the loops are… if I don’t need em they do protrude an awful lot.

Have been going with the old version of the Climbing Technology Wall Harness and been loving it. Anyone been climbing with the new one?

Mosquito is 260g in M size. There are more interesting and lighter harnesses then those. With all 4 full gear loops.

I think is missing the greatest lightweight harness, the Choucas Pro, it weighs less than 150 g and allows you to put it with crampons already on. There's also enough space for quickdraws, ice screws and cams with fully functional gear loops. And it's sister, the choucas light is even better if weight is your only concern.

Wow, that’s really ridiculously light. That’s almost as light as just using a 120cm sling as an improvised harness. And that doesn’t have any gear loops or straps or adjustability.

I don't think this video is meant to showcase _the_ lightest harnesses. Mountaineering harnesses aren't really good for anything except mountaineering - you'd _never_ use the Choucas Pro for sport climbing, for example

@@TrackpadProductions Why do you think it’s not suitable for sport climbing? Maybe the abrasion resistance is not good enough for an everyday gym harness, but for those special days where you finally want to send your project …

@@Mike-oz4cv Same reason you wouldn't use a non-dry rope for ice climbing. It's _technically_ possible to use it, but it's not what it's designed for. Not to mention it won't last very long taking big falls all the time.

@@TrackpadProductions But that’s the big question. Is it actually worse in practice? Obviously it has to pass all the safety tests and for gym/project climbing the flimsy gear loops are not an issue.

If you want to climb with most light weight equipment, you can always go free solo. Just chalk and pair of shoes, and please wear at least underwear.😆
