There is a common question that we frequently get asked about: How should beginners - who might have never even touched a kettlebell - start working out and what exercises would be appropriate?
Do simple and easy kettlebell exercises and beginner workouts even exist? In this video, we want to give you the answer and the solution may surprise you.
Kettlebell training may seem intimidating at first; especially for Beginners. When you browse through our catalogue of kettlebell workouts, you will probably encounter exercises that include a strong ballistc element such as cleans, swings and snatches.
Ballistics always go hand in hand with a certain unpredictable element that needs to be controlled, learned and ultimately mastered. This aspect of kettlebell training maybe gives off the impression that kettlebell workouts are only suitable for advanced lifters or professionals.
While it is true that it takes skill and patience to master the ballistic lifts, we have a solution for you in this video with a couple of basics (plus a workout protocol) that can help you find your way with kettlebell training as a beginner.
The information we're sharing in this kettlebell instructional video comes from real life experience with real people (our clients) in real surroundings with real "struggles". We want to make sure that you can trust our expertise because it's been tested (and proven) in the real world on a daily basis.

I go for a decent run first, then come back indoors and do stretching, toning, weights and have yet to use my new Kettlebell. I will start off with Goblet Squats, then go on to do the raising above the head idea. Thank you for your tips and demos.

    Nice work Gregory. Would you say the double breath works better in exercises for longer duration? Is the single breath inhale e.g. on the downward part of the squat to protect the back or for another reason? Been experimenting with both for a while 🤔😁

  • @lebe-stark

    @lebe-stark

    3 жыл бұрын

    The single breath is called „Valsalva maneuver“ and you‘re exactly right. It helps to stabilize and secure the spine. Especially useful for lifting very heavy weights. The double breaths (or more) are what we call Power Breathing. You‘ve got another one right; it‘s best served to work for longer time with moderate weights. I hope this helps! - Gregory

    @@lebe-stark my goal is to get in good general shape. I’m 39 years old, 6ft tall and weigh 195lbs. I haven’t worked out consistently at all, the longest I’ve worked out consistently has been 6-12 weeks and then stop for months if not years in between due to a back injury that left me limited a few years back. I’m much better now concerning my back so I want to build a good foundation to build upon. Losing 15-20 pounds is my goal right now.

    Very informative video. Thanks a lot. Although I have to say those "ballistic" excercises do seemed a bit sus. I would expect higher control on the negative side, it appeared as if the weights were not properly chosen. But than again I'm new to kettlebells it's only the bodybuilding reflexes that tell me that.

    Hi Great video and channel. I am new to Kettlebell. I have a question to the kettlebell press. How important is it to be standing? I train at home and the roof height is vertically challenged so arms streched over the head with the kettlebell will result in a ceiling crash 😞

I see others starting their momentum by swinging between their legs first. I have to bend fairly far forward to accomplish that.

    Hey man love the channel. Your a professional from what I see so learning from your videos. I am 44 years old going to be 45 in October about 165 lb and 5 foot 8 inches. I would say I am out of shape and don't do exercise currently. I decided to buy a 16 Kg Kettle bell to get into shape and to improve my health. I did some exercises but it was pretty tough as I have not exercise in a long time, I would say if I really push myself as I now just started could use the 16 Kg. Or should I have started off with a 12 Kg instead and use that for maybe 2 or 3 months to ease my body in. The other option is to stick with the 16 Kg and condition my body over a long period of time. I feel I can eventually Handel the 16 kg but it is tough now but not impossible.Should I try to soldier through and will be careful not to injury myself or invest in a 12 Kg Kettle Bell. Hope to hear from you. Oh and I subscribe to the channel.

    Great video. But I've never understood the point of KB deadlift. If I do normally 3x10x100kg dead lift session with barbel, how is training with waaaay lighter load anyway stimulating? I would need to do series of like 40 reps with 30kg KB to get proper stimulus. I would replace KB DL with KB swing.
