running the acuity short shifter!!! not disappointed, absolutely love it!

Solid feedback. I’ve been running a ktuned for 3 years. I’ve been itching for change so i can get my shift boot back on. I was going to go to HR without question, but i heard great things about acuity. Now that I saw a good direct unbiased review of the three, I’m going acuity. Thank you for your time for this. It really helps.

@@DC5RParts especially the shift to 2nd to 3rd. U know how u kinda just roll in into gear? Kinda almost shifting to neutral from 2nd then roll it into 3. Wish u had done that. Drove the car but not enough to try that. Also had trouble shifting to 5th.

I currently have the HR V2 and it’s good. However, I have the same issue with the swivel point and now it’s just super loose. Definitely will be looking at acuity for Black Friday.

Good review, I always went hybrid racing as to me it was best bang for the buck during their Black Friday deals. Might look more into acuity. I will say, I had a terrible experience with ktuned on my RSX. It was fine until the car was warmed up, 20 miles in, the shifter would lock up, only could shift into 2nd and 3rd maybe. Had to drive home in 3rd. Removed and back to stock that night and ordered hybrid the next day. Also when the shifter was not glued, the side piece would slide out sometimes and while driving or at a light id have to remove the cover and stick it back on so I could drive it again. It’s like the lube turned to paste or the housing would expand and tighten. I was not a fan. Ktuned customer service was not help at all. I tell everyone stay away now lol

Been sold on the Acuity Shifter ever since I first saw it on the channel, definitely want to get one soon but more likely the 2 way over the 4 way

From my own experienced, I had a acuity 2 way shifter. I sold it because I tend to miss shift more than stock when I’m racing no matter how much i adjust it. As for daily and slow driving, it’s an okay shifter

@@DC5RParts Well i ended up getting the 4 way as well as the Acuity Shifter Springs and some Hybrid Racing shifter bushings and I'm definitely impressed I love it

Acuity no doubt! By far the best one on the market. Love my 4 way.

Thank u for the great reviews. Question. With the Acuity or hybrid racing shifter are u able to install the shifter boot back on to the rsx. So it looks factory? Thank u in advance.

You can but it depends on the angle and height you have the shift knob/rod. The way I have my Acuity set up at max height and with the rod twisted to the side I can't fit the boot back over it easily but I think it looks nice without it honestly

I'm currently using k-tuned shifter box for my rsx with the k-tuned race cables, but I bought the acuity shifter box and I want to know if I can use it with the k-tuned race cables? Is there any modifications I got to do in order for it to work together without any issues?

Lmfao I wish. I actually don't get paid to make any of these reviews or videos, I spent 5 days and countless hours editing this. I make them for you and others. Whether you want to believe me or not, that's entirely up to you. But I won't let you discredit me and my integrity. I don't need this KZread channel, I don't make a living with this. I actually have a career, a licensed professional. I can care less lol Reality is, Acuity is the better shifter due to my extensive testing in street and track use. HR did do amazing compared to their predecessor and Ktuned is absolutely destroyed by the other two. Not Sorry to hurt your feelings. Lol

Facts. Thanks Zach for not letting the hate discredit the truth! I've had great and bad with KTuned and their quality control. You can find both types of video on my YT lol but somehow I am a ktuned hater when I call them out on the poor craftsmanship? 🤣

@@DC5RParts it is what it is I guess. I’ve had bad experiences with their swivel neck housing which was a pain to trouble shoot. Until I just modified the stock one without running a hose for the heater

I heard a lot of “I think”, “I feel” “it’s light” “it’s heavy” “ i don’t like “ …leave feelings out, makes video seem biased. Some actual numbers & terminology would be most helpful when it comes to product specs, etc.. cool vid though.

Change your gearbox oil first up and see how it goes, I flushed my old gearbox oil out a few times and although It never used to grind before anyway it feels great now - no 3rd gear pop out or anything
