Hot weather means it's spaghetti ice cream time! In this video I look at my top three ice creams - two of which I discovered whilst here in Germany. Quiz question source is Duden. :D

My favourite ice is Spaghetti Eis, too. In many Eiscafés, they put the vanilla ice strands over a small amount of whipped cream. This semi-frozen whipped cream is sooo delicious...

The frozen whipped cream actually is the best of the whole Spaghetti-Eis :D (in my opinion)

AFAIK the hamburger was created by an emmigrant, not sure if he was german, shipped in in hamburg harbour. If im correct he was inspired by the Frikadellenbrötchen ( meat ball roll ), in Berlin called Bulette.

I also heard the story of immigrants from Hamburg who brought Beafsteak/Bulette style food for the jurney put between bread/roll. So the name is not german origin but influenced by germans.

Little known fact: a Hamburger with a fish patty (minced fish instead of meat) is called a "Bremer". If the fish isn't minced it's a "fish burger".

I can't eat those ice creams because they are not made of milk or cream anymore. They use milk powder who is too high on lactose. Some of them even use "Molke" powder who makes me truly sick. Better stay with the ice from the Eisdiele since they have very high standarts and must use fresh milk or cream. Funny fact is that I can use HD and J&B ice cream without trouble, even when J&B has a bit too excotic tastes for me :P.

+Rotbarrt that's a good question and deserves a video about ice cream in England. :D some of the lollies are called different names in the UK - for example the Nogger is called Feast. :) My favourite ice cream from my childhood is raspberry ripple (vanilla ice cream and raspberry syrup) and my fave lolly is the Twister.

I can not believe you bought all that ice cream...Germans don't have l;arge freezers like the USof A...my freezer is larger than either of the two of my fridges...and the two fridges have large freezer sections...I never saw that in Germany...but, it has been 40 years since I have been there...

We have a smaller freezer than a fridge. Freezers also tend to be smaller in England, but I suppose it depends on the person. I know some Germans who have an extra freezer in the cellar. But I don't know what it's for. :) possible a huge ice cream collection? Fun fact, this video was meant to be about tasting ice lollies - I bought a lot more things. 😀 Unfortunately there was too much footage, so I split it into this video and the extra ice lolly one! 🍭 wow, this was a long reply! :) thanks for your comment.

My grandparents had a farm and they usually used the large freezers to store the meat of e.g. pigs.
