Before I even begin this episode I just need to stop and thank you guys for the way you have the website linked so well with KZread. I'm so impressed with how you guys manage to answer that random question I was thinking in my head and having not only the solution but the location for me to solve it. I've gotten to an episode that was done in 2019 that I feel confident will answer everything I need. Good job lol.

LRS FROZEN IS THE BEST !

Gonna toss a couple scoops of whey protein into the food and have my fish swole in no time! Perfect time as always, I needed to order some food and was looking for a video review and yall uploaded at the right time again!

I feed LRS to my reef and NLS, Ocean Nutrition formula 1 and TDO to my clownfish breeders

I was feeding my fish as i watched this video

Hikari Mysis, NLS Probiotix Pellets, First Bite Mysis RS Pellets, ReefRoids and lastly my own frozen preparation of table shrimp, mussel, clam and oyster flesh for finicky eaters like my Copperband.

have you guys seen the elos sv.m2 pellets? That is what I feed at home. Over 60% protein, 11% fat, and some vitamins added to boot.

Sorry hands down LRS rules them all! Not just cause they make it down the road from me its a little of everything! Do they not work with larger businesses? I only see it at Local shops.

No doubt, LRS makes a solid food. To my knowledge, they only wholesale to local fish shops.

Don’t get me wrong I got some reef chili on hand too. The rods herbivore blend is great as well but seems to be oily. You guys are on point with the TDO I can’t believe you did not touch On The color enhancing ingredients. I have seen a huge increase in color from my clowns and yellow tang. Works very well

Why are lps pellets so expensive. I know its specialized. But isnt it just normal pellets minus (things like copper ive read so dont quote me).. at that point couldnt we feed corals mysis pellets since we feed them frozen mysis all the same. Have to guys compared reef frenzy to rods food. Would be interesting to see which one fares better : )

The Bio Pure are brackish vs the Cananadian are freshwater. My fish wont eat the freshwater stuff or the jumbo mysis.

Rods food leaves my tank a complete mess. There is so much inedible left over crap floating around my tank. One time there was like the skin of a fish floating around I had to fish out. Just a ton of stuff. I honestly can't believe anyone would buy their products more than once. I think if you want to feed these kinds of foods you have to just do it yourself. I'm guessing he just throws it all in a giant grinder and he wouldn't be excluding a lot of the stuff you would take out if you were doing it yourself.

For the TDO Chroma Boost how important is it that the pellets stay in the packet and refrigerated? I like to use an auto feeder for pellets but the pellets are exposed to light and air when they’re in the feeder. Thanks!

Like with we humans, we are magnetically attracted to high protein as if that is always lacking, when few of us actually do. However, in the wild fish are constantly pecking at things every minute probably of lower protein. The high accumulative protein over the day with high protein foods might actually be toxic. Is the common fatty liver disease an attempt to wrap up the breakdown products of too high a protein feed? Anyway, just to challenge an assumption, that really needs testing in itself.

The PE mysis says 69.5% protein yet you say 11.9% in the video. Am I missing something?

The Mysis shrimp itself is 69 % Protein, but when you add the massive amount of water that the product is packaged in, it significantly lower the OVERALL protein content.

What about hpd?? I think it is better that all of those and cheaper

WWIII REEF my question exactly... but I don’t think they sell LRS, so it wouldn’t make sense for them to have it on their list. LRS I believe protects the LFS, and so he doesn’t sell to big box stores.

The foods featured are a mix of what our customers buy most as well as our own opinions on foods in different categories. We typically only review products that we sell, so LRS was not included. No doubt that LRS makes a solid food and we wouldn't hesitate to use it 🙂

Most people swear by NLS pellets. That’s all I feed. Fish are fat and happy. Why don’t you stock NLS?
