tbf i think the realistic outcome wouldve been for them to neg down from 50 to maybe 30 or 35, and then see if other dragons wouldve been interested in competing, which they seemed to want to do. i doubt duncan wouldnt have budged from 50 if their attitude was a bit more realistic at that moment
