I appreciate this list. I don't disagree about the value of those units. Now my 3 would be Mavis, Feng Xun, and Gaius. I own Gabby and Ethan. They are both phenomenal, but Feng and Gaius. Anyone who has or has seen Feng Xun in action knows why I picked him. So, I want to focus on Gaius. He literally is the one dps unit in the game that has stood the test of time. He literally slapped Zox's statements about dps getting power crept in the mouth. Base copy Gaius is literally a switch blade dps. He stuns, steals buffs aoe, strips buffs aoe, casts sear, and provides shields. None of Gaius talents are new. They don't have fancy, cool names, or undisspellable traits. He has all the original skills of Dislyte. He has enough skills to be considered a support unit, but my guy is one of the most powerful units in the game. I don't know if power creep can be applied to Gaius. No dps does as many support things for the team as him, and no support will ever match his damage. On top of that, any unit paired with him that boosts attack or crit damage will only make him stronger. This last thing is most definitely personal opinion and feelings. As a guy who's played video games their entire life, I'm extremely certain I can say without question Gaius is by far the strongest, most meta defining, and longevity capable black character I've ever seen in a game. He will always be my favorite character, even if somehow they make someone superior to him.

funny thing is, that i‘m at my 630 days of playing and NEVER obtained a single gabrielle. i was to lazy to do fusion back then, so i missed out on that but i also never pulled her somehow and i can count the non-shimmer espers i don‘t have at one hand. tbh i don‘t think i‘m missing out on much. a year back i had a few moments where i wanted to spend wishstones on her cause she was overall so important in many game aspects but up to date i never find myself in a position where i really say „ah shit i really need to get gabby for this“

first! account level 48, only really knew about Gabi as she's the only of the three I have, good to know what I should be aiming for!

The fact that i got gabrielle and mavis early in my account is something

I got my Gabbie at the start of the game, yes she was useful in beating some content but now she just sots there and collects dust. There are so many more alternatives that replace her its crazy

How do you use Ethan? I can see that in PvP everyone has it on R2, but is he useful on R0?

R0 is less effective cause he doesn't start combat with his unique buff

I’d pick Ethan, Mavis, and Feng Xun. I hardly use Gabby and even my R6 Clara anymore ever since Feng Xun arrived.

i would add feng xun instead of ethan. the r2 neded part of ethan is good but it could be an steep requirement. feng xun as dps support is just crazy and thats before his r2 with r2 he is just ridiculous. i cleard 3 teams wind tower with r1 feng xun so i can garantee he is gamechanging at r0. ethan feels a little clunky without his r2 but is still a solid pick
