Thanks for the cards. I had to look through my Nolan cards. He was most favorite player. I even saw him in Cooperstown. When he was inducted in the hall of fame.

Same. I was hooked when i saw his 5th no hitter as a kid on TV. 12 yrs old I think. I followed him ever since. I have collected his cards...... We went to Cooperstown when he was inducted. what a great memory. people reserving their spots with blankets and chairs the day before. playing catch on the hill.....great memories.

I have the Ryan Topps 1976, ‘77 and 1978.

Great video, Nolan Ryan cards are great and everyday grow in Price. My two Favorites are 1982 Topps Blackless and 1985 Topps mini.

My uncle gave me a lot of his baseball cards he collected one of them was the 1968 rookie card on your number one with I remember looking it up in the magazine and it was only valued at $5,000 or $6,000 at the time that is crazy how is sold for way much more almost 15 years later I still have the card I was just looking at it about 2 weeks ago it is still in the slip and still in mine baseball card album

I remember l was in element school back in 1968, and l was in the schoolyard openings a pack of baseball cards and had that card of Jerry Koosman and Gary Gentry you showed. Who knew it would be that valuable. Three really modern baseball players who were very popular in the early years with their clubs were Johnny Bench of the Reds, Vida Blue with the As, and Lenny Dykstra of the Mets.

I have 9 of these Ryan's and a nice small vintage collection of 512 cards from 1961 to 1993 all handpicked in my childhood to hopefully score big in the 2020s.

I am a collector. Not an investor. So this means that I have found a home with you😊. I like what the other guy has done to bring a prospective of the value of our craft and the lengths that a driven market can reach. I am not a financially wealthy man and I do not have half a million dollars to drop this weekend in Atlanta or wherever. I am from the grassroot. Each and every card I have in my collection I've literally felt the reprocussion in my wallet, sometimes for days. Many times I've chosen cards over milk and eggs. But I love it and I'm so proud of where I am. You my boy give the detailing and prospective of a true collector. This is where I will be parking

To have any card from 70's Era topps sets is amazing

Had most of these BUT recently just sold my collection 1964 set upto 2008 set, only three sets weren't not completely because I was did it OLD FASHION WAY,CARD SHOPS AND CARD SHOWS,TRADE WITH FRIENDS TOO! SADLY Got $12,000.00 with Nolan Ryan Collection! Had a Dinosaur collection, 🦕 came to be,HAD I hold onto them, could of gotten a KING'S RANSOM BUT ONLY SPECULATING,WHO KNOWS??? DO REGRETTED SELLING THEM 🤔

In August of 2016 the PSA 10 rookie card (pop 1) sold for $612,000 at Heritage Auctions!!!

me personally i like the 69 over the 68. never liked the shared rookie card. the 69 is all by himself with a nice oldie pose....very classic. plus it only has a pop of 2.

What about the topps/milton bradley variation? Pretty awesome story behind the 1968 cards in that set. Very small population in psa.

Hello my name is Michael and I do construction /remodeling. The last house I did had a box of over 200,000 cards and memorabilia. In the collection is about 80 different nolan ryan cards. None graded but all in mint condition. You said comment which ones I have .. I have quite a few of those some in doubles/ triples. I also have the number 1. I wanted to know what my best options to grading and possibly selling.

I have #19. Maybe I should dig it would of that card album...

I suggested this as an idea. Guess it already exists lol. I need to catch up on my KZread.

I have a 1968 Ryan rookie. Koosman has a blue box around his head. Edges are NM.

Maybe some UFC, Golf, Boxing, WWE, or some off sport top 25 list would be cool of PSA gradings. Trying to think outside the box. Also I dont know if you collect non sport, but pokemon and magic the gathering PSA grading would be different and bring in other subscribers. A black lotus psa 10 alpha sells for over 150k which is crazy for being a non sport card from the 90s.

Thanks for the feedback! I've thought about doing some MTG or Pokemon... not sure how everyone would feel about those though. I was thinking about starting a PSA collecoter - TCG channel dedicated to the TCG cards only? I will look into the wrestling cards and boxing cards!

I have a handful of NR cards from different card manufacturers but since I didn’t see any of them on here, I’m not too hopeful. I’m debating on spending the $100-120 for PSA eval. But can you do a series on Roberto Clemente? I have 2 that I’m curious about. Thx

Brian Beckworth in order for that card to be valued at that price it needs to be graded and slabbed in gem mint condition. Unless you pulled the card directly from the pack yourself chances are it won’t grade that high. You may get lucky and get a 8 or even a 9. If your concerned about theft or loss then choose insurance when mailing to PSA. USPS offers great insurance options 👍

Are print defects not an added value in card collecting? Say, doubled lettering like you'd see on coins?

Ten four!

I have that Nolan Ryan BB rookie tandom card and it is in very good condition. How do I get it rated??

I have several of these cards ungraded. But, condition is the thing...centering on all of mine are off. Condition is great.. just centering, centering, centering. It's unfortunate that QC at Topps is so horrible. Even today. I've pulled 2019 cards straight from the pack that are just.. not centered. I guess if they were all perfect they would be worth 5cents a piece. Is it good or bad? Should Topps have better quality today ? Or should it be a crap shoot like it is now.

lol, I've pulled plenty of modern cards that looked like they were cut with 1950's technology as well. I'm not sure where the fault lies but it is a great question. I would think that by now Topps has developed laser technology that cut the cards flawlessly. If they were all gem mint 10 then the value would be devastatingly lower though.

Are all 1995 die cut SP Nolan Ryan cards have the gold hologram?

Matt, I cannot any POP info on the PSA website regarding the 2006 Topps Opening Day series of cards. I have several cards, but specially 2006 Topps Randy Johnson #81, no info. What do you know about this series. It was released in March 2006, and the cards have Opening Day printed on the front.

PSA COLLECTOR The problem is that for example, Randy Johnson #81, Carlos Beltran #86, Ben Sheets, these guys are not listed in that link, the 2006 Topps Opening Day. Does that mean there just hasn’t been any cars graded on those guys?

I wonder where the 1968 O-Pee-Chee and 1968 Milton Bradley cards would rank. Also, the 1971 O-Pee-Chee is rarer in high grade, so would likely sell for more today than the 1971 Topps.

Yep, the highest grade Ryan and Koosman card sold was a PSA 8 which sold for $10,800 this month, I could have added it to the list but I guess I overlooked it. You're right about the '71 o-pee-chee selling for more than the Topps if sold today. The scarcity would surely drive the price up!

Nolan is a great investment...I have a 1969 psa 4 pretty centered on ebay right now for $109.99

I have a 1975 Highlights PSA 5 on auction now for $3 and not a single watcher! I have about 300 various Ryan’s no kidding from 1980 onwards and hope that if you combined the PSA scores for all it would be 10! 😃

I always use ebay myself for shipping unless it's sold another way...I do $3.50 on ebay, it helps offset the paypal transaction fee and shipping supplies

Hey Jimmy, those are reprints from the 2001 Topps Archives baseball card set. There is not much value to those as they are not rare or vintage. They are cool cards though!

It depends on the year but it sounds like a card under the $5 price range. His more valuable cards are the earlier Topps cards.

I've got some of these good cards and these dollars amounts you give are not even in the ballpark what some people have offered me like $ 40.00 or less , how can this be ? Doesn't make sense

When it is said that a card is a “population of…” Does that mean there are only that many cards with that specific grade?

Topps made a special edition version of it's 1991 set which was to be distributed to the troops in desert storm. The set is identical to the regular 1991 Topps set except it has a desert shield logo in the corner.
