My brother got me to watch this movie when it came out, saying it was "better than the Matrix". I was like, ok doubt it, but gave it a go. It's my favorite action movie to date! Then I got my mom to watch it (this was several years ago), and even tho she was a big Agatha Christie type person (action films weren't her favorite), she went out and bought it on DVD the very next day. It's that damn good and appealing to a wide range of audiences.

Guardians holding the power stone is an unforgettable scene for me. When the movie came to the tv screen for the first time in my country, it was a Saturday. I didn't know that it was a Marvel movie, and I was excited because it was a space movie. We had school that Saturday, and by the time I came back home, I completely forgot about the movie. I just saw the very scene of Quill dancing. I had no idea of what's happening but still loved it. There's no way anyone could have stopped me from watching the movie at night. I consider GOTG 1 to be the Marvel movie that made me fall in love with the MCU The prison escape is another classic, Tyler Bates' score was so good.

Those twin custom Beretta's plus the fast load stuff in Equilibrium must have cost a lot of cash. They are sexy, though I like the altered G36 rifles the cannon fodder get issued with. The gun fu is amazing, yes it's an under the radar sleeper hit for a few. I love it. TG2 that attack run..... perfect. My brother got me to watch it, saying it was better than the Matrix. He was 💯 right. It's my favorite action movie to this day (Deadpool is my second favorite, and mostly due to it's humor and watchability while drunk). The martial arts scenes were so much better than all 3 of the Mateix movies. I'm also really glad that they didn't try to make it a franchise; it would have destroyed the impact and meaning of the film.

@@sarasunshinemt4444 Yeah - the early 00s was about the last time anything good came out of Hollywood. I'm glad they didn't ruin it by making it a franchise - look what happened to both the Matrix and Marvel movies.

@Raggmopp-xl7yf Honestly, after the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I stopped caring about what movies were coming out. I simply didn't care anymore. They weren't worth it. Nowadays, I barely watch any shows or movies. Games, sure, but even then I'm gonna be sure about an IP before I spend more than $20 on something. Reading has always been my #1 preferred hobby and nothing Hollywood has produced has gotten me to change my mind. But damn, do I miss the 90's/early 2000's

@@sarasunshinemt4444 Agree! 90s - 2000s were the best! The last good tv programs were (IMO) Eureka, Leverage and Warehouse 13 - I own them all. I'm also a huge LOTR nerd and was so surprised (in a good way) at how GOOD those movies were. Hobbit - not so much. Disappointing b/c the choice of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins was genius!. But they ruined what was a fun little story, but that's not Jackson's fault. He was like director #11 for those movies and had no leeway. He was very upset about them. So was I! I started writing fan-fiction b/c of how dirty they treated the "Elvenking," (he had no name) as catharsis, lol.

There is NO debate over whether Bruce Lee was taught by Yip Man. He attended his old masters funeral as a sign of respect when he died. Also in traditional martial arts classes senior students are often deputised to teach novice students. My Wing Chun teacher was a senior student of Yip Man and he was tasked with guiding new students including Bruce Lee. At the age of 83 years of age he's still teaching in London.

I’ve been lucky enough to hear an audience respond to a scene.. in a few over the years. The Darth Vader scene in rouge one, and a couple other Star Wars movies, the Marvel universe provided several over the years as well. When Captain America had the shield and the hammer was just one. I had never heard an audience clap and celebrate a good movie a couple of times, but that was very special to be apart of. I was glad to hear theaters back up after the VID, but I’m not sure if they will ever be what they were.

In the fight in Rouge One. Look close at Vader, he is in all essence holding his breath the whole time. All of his life support lights are off on his chest. Meaning it is off. This is done so all that is shone is his saber lighting up. The lights would have given him away to the troopers, so it intimidated them even more when he walked in.

All good god-mode flexes, but a couple small points...first of all Gandolf is an actual god as well, so is the balrog, so seeing two deities doing their best to kill each other is always going to be god-mode. As for Godzilla...his showing up is a god-mode flex. The Godzilla Threshold is an actual trope, i.e. when things are so bad any degree of collateral damage is acceptable. Frankly, whoever actually goes and gets him is the god-mode flexor IMHO. Godzilla is just a force of nature, like a typhoon or a tsunami, it's just going to wipe away anything in its path. To actually call that down on your own home in many cases...

Also they probably thought he was trying to meagerly fight back. No reason to leave their post. Why post behind the thin door instead of the thick wall on either side? That's the real question.

    1) The only reason that The Gaurdians could employ the Power Stone is because Starlord is literally Half Human and Half Celestial.I had nothing to do with the power of love and friendship. 2) Of course the fight scenes in Kung Fu Hustle were overdone, it's a Bloody Comedy. 3) If you hade even seen Kill Bill Vol.2 you would know that they simply called themselves The Crazy 88, there were not, in fact, 88 of them. 4) It was only due to Odins Enchantment on Mjolnir that Cap was able to use it. "Whosoever holds this Hammer, if he be worthy, shall posess the power of Thor" which means that Cap could only use Mjolnir because he had achieved a state of Worthiness thought his actions, all the power came from Mjolnir.

I think instead of batman v superman you should have chosen the dark knight return part 2 animation movie fight scene between batman and superman. That was a way better fight

The church used in Kingsman was actually the Garrison Church of Blackdown Barracks, Deepcut, near Camberley, Surrey, England. A British Army Garrison where I lived for 11 years of my Service. My youngest daughter (now aged 29) was christened there!
