Looks like both. When they dunk, they’re either pulling the rim downwards which detaches it from the glass or they’re putting their complete body weight onto the rim which makes it snap off. In some of these other videos the players aren’t aiming correctly while dunking and are accidentally hitting the backboard with the ball at an extreme force which shatters the backboard as well

I love how at 1:31 everyone celebrates the backboard breaking likes its an accomplishment of sorts
