Top 24 Speyside Distilleries RANKED - Part 1: The Single Malt distilleries ranked, Numbers 24 - 13
Speyside is home to more distilleries than any other region in Scotland. I set myself a challenge: to rank all of the distilleries on the basis of the quality, presentation, breadth, and value of their core ranges. The problem with Speyside is that of the 49 distilleries, many of them primarily produce whisky for blends. To make a manageable list, I separated the top 24 distilleries before ranking them. How? I had to devise a system for cutting off the eligible distilleries. What was that system?
Since the list was so long, I've split it into two videos. Today, part 1, covers Numbers 24 through 13. The Top 12 will be ranked in Part 2 next week. Did your favorite Speyside distillery make the cut? Who was ranked last? Check out this video to find out...

RIP Longmorn, Linkwood and Glentauchers. Some of my favorite Speysides. Good list though. Only disagreement is Speyside. I'd put them a little higher

My top-8. Benromach and Craigellachie #1 & 2 for sure. Ranking the others would require some thought: 1. Benromach 2. Craigellachie Glenfarclas Knockdhu Speyburn Tamdhu Glenfarclas GlenAllachie

Some good picks from the remaining distilleries, here. We'll see how it shakes out ...
Interesting video, but the 3 core range cut nixed many favorite distilleries with widely available IBs that would best at least first the of the list. Longmorn, Linkwood, Dailuaine, Berrinnes, Glentauchers, Glen Elgin, Glenlossie and Strathisla are among my favorite IBs. I understand the reason for the cut and look forward to part two.

This was really an interestng point of view, looking forward to part 2. P.S. Just a small thing, no offence, but please don't wave around with your hand this much, one gets dizzy and it's taking focus from your excelent story🙏
