"You're In The Picture" was fabulously funny. Nobody could figure out what the scenes they were supposed to guess were supposed to represent, because they couldn't see them, and were too obscure to figure out even if they could. I might be interested in watching a game show that nobody could win, if they made it consistently funny and unpredictable.

I've actually seen the two episodes of Turn-on that were produced. It WAS ahead of its time. Audiences of today would have no problem with the show. But 1969 is a whole other ballgame. The jokes flew at you from every direction. Instead of an audience or canned laughter, they used a Moog Synthesizer instead of an audience. The show didn't have an opening credits sequence. Instead, the credits were run after commercial breaks. Finally, the show didn't have an actual set. It was filmed in a big, white room and was designed to make viewers somewhat uncomfortable. The premise of the show was that it was all created by a computer. The second episode would've featured the first motion captured CGI. Do a KZread search for Turn-on Dancer, and it should come up. It would've totally freaked out a 1969 audience.

I've heard the legend of "Turn On" for years and it's intriguing to finally see some clips from it. There was a show on Comedy Central in the early/mid 90's that look very similar to the clips shown, a bunch of random short sketches against a white background. The only sketch I remember is a group of guys dressed up as a rock band yelling "are you ready to rock" with a response from the audience of "no, give us 5 more minutes." I only watch parts of maybe a couple episodes and think it lasted maybe 6-8.

It was kind of a spin-off of NYPD Blue, with Bill Brochtrup reprising his role as John Irvin. A sitcom spin-off of NYPD Blue is a bonkers concept in itself. The show quickly died and Brochtrup just went back to NYPD Blue. One of the other stars, Peter Gerety, moved over to Homicide: Life On The Street...maybe my favorite drama series ever.
