    Amy Jo Johnson expressed in an interview that she regrets not taking a stand with her co-stars (Austin St. John, Thuy Trang, Walter Jones) to unionise the show for better payment and safer work space. She felt that if they ALL had taken a stand together, then maybe, just maybe the producers would've listened. She left Power Rangers in the following season for the same reasons her co-stars did.

    actors usually never get royalty money whatsoever. what they were asking was literally out of question but i do agree they should been paid better but usually the first roles are always poorly paid. Jim from American Pie just got 10k for the entire first movie and the movie made over 100mio. I personally think the actors were too greedy and ruined the entire Mighty Morphin Series after their leave.

    @@saas4517 The low pay because being new has some logic, but the longer the show went, their pay should have increased, rather than stay the same or even decrease. To borrow your example, Jason Biggs only got 10k for the first American Pie, but by American Wedding, he would have been paid in the millions (a dinky little kid's show obviously didn't have this sort of budget, but just take the example and proportionately change it to a more generous pay for the Rangers)

    Nice video. The low pay and unsafe working conditions were really what did it for Thuy Trang, because she injured her leg in season 2, and couldn't afford medical treatment. As for the Lost Galaxy/Lightspeed Rescue team-up, I have a feeling it wasn't just Amy and Danny that walked, since that was really just for the Lightspeed rangers. You did forget Patricia getting lowballed, when she offered to take over for Valerie Vernon in Lost Galaxy, and Melody Perkins took over, which in its own unique way worked out, since Karone gets her redemption.

    One important thing to note is that none of the cast and crew who worked on the show can recall a young Deleon working as an extra. In addition, each and every episode of MMPR has been meticulously picked apart by fans and to this day they still can't even point out what episode or scene Deleon appeared in for this bit part. The whole claim of Deleon's appearance on Power Rangers is taken 100% on the face value of Deleon's word alone. At this point its pretty safe to say either one of two things is true. Either Deleon's scene was so insignificant that it went completely unaired (left on the cutting room floor) or Deleon is full of it and never was on MMPR. I'm leaning to the latter seeing Deleon's other choices in life. Lying just doesn't seem too far of a stretch.

    @@josephjones7828interesting theory. Honestly I didn’t know who he was either. I guess when your a fan of the show, sometimes they will notice actors or actresses that did a show as a extra and not realizing what will happen in the future of that actor or actress. DeLeon to be honest with you, I never knew who he was and of course Power Rangers did have tons of extras as minor roles who did the show. And the show did have tons of kids of course as actors or actresses. At first it could have been any one of them being DeLeon since the actor also used another name being credited in the show. But we definitely know that Deleon was Roger the soccer kid who was in the episode Second Chance just because of the way he looked compared to him as a adult. But being he was only in that episode alone, I don’t think anyone would ever have remembered him. There were tons of actors who did one show or episode, it could have been the ninja kid in the karate tournament which Zack aka Walter Jones was helping, it could have been Jason aka Auston St. John, the kid who played his cousin Jeremy, or even it could be been one of the kids from the Zeo episode with the robot clown Puppetman. But people recognize DeLeon because the Roger kid looked exactly like him. But the actors I’m pretty sure there are some extras they may not remember working with. And I guess DeLeon was one of them.

    There's also the scandal involving actress Sarah Joy Brown (who appeared briefly on PR Zeo and was mostly well-known at the time for her role in VR Troopers) and producer Shuki Levy. According to the actress, she suffered from sexual and domestic violence by Shuki, who was her fiancé at the time. Allegedly, she even got raped by the guy during a meeting with Haim Saban; who didn't do nothing to stop him. He found out he was being replaced in Power Rangers Turbo through a casting call in the newspaper. He was in a serious relationship with Tracy Lynn Cruz (Ashley). He says he introduced her to the producers at MMPR Productions and she broke up with him immediately after being cast (though it’s unclear if he means her brief cameo in MMPR or the role of Ashley in Turbo. I’m assuming the latter). He claims she cheated on him the whole time they were together and a direct quote from him, “Tracy if you’re reading this, you owe me over $6000 for the mustang you took from me and never paid for. • @MiggyRules

    @MiggyRules

    6 ай бұрын

    Well I did mention this fact earlier on here actually but FYI, Cerina Vincent wasn’t the ONLY actress who was naked in films. Hilary Shepard Turner who played Divatox from Turbo, Sasha Williams who played Kelsey from Lightspeed Rescue and I believe Anna Hutchinson who played Lily from Jungle Fury, ALSO did nude scenes in movies as well as Cerina Vincent too. And to be honest with you, I didn’t get WHY Monica May was mocked horribly because of burlesque. She even said she was broke when she did it no less. I don’t get why those actresses weren’t mocked but Monica was. So what that they did nude scenes and burlesque shows. They are adults right? Everyone eventually gets naked in life. And people saying it ruined their childhood is just ridiculous and dumb. Also it was just one movie I know Cerina was naked in which was Not Another Teen Movie which she was completely naked throughout the WHOLE film playing a exchange student named Aerola. And Cerina at the time said she was a nudist in real life so she was very open minded and comfortable with her body. Cmon if you watch Lost Galaxy she was definitely wearing a very revealing outfit throughout the show. Plus many may not remember this but Chris Evans was ALSO in that movie too. Aka the actor who played Captain America in the Marvel universe. And nobody judged him either. Besides that movie was a flop anyway. It seems silly that fans said it ruined their childhood just because an actress was naked in a film. I’ve been a HUGE fan of Power Rangers since I was 10 years old when it came out in 1993 and watched EVERY single series and not ONCE was ever affected in my childhood over a actress doing nudity. Cmon the violence matters are more affecting than that. Or the fact we lost JDF due to suicide. Nudity isn’t as horribly affecting as violence or death. Cmon Ricardo Medina’s crime was VERY more damaging than that, or David Yost’s being called quoted a “faggot” and harassed by people because he was gay. I think Monica’s situation was just utterly disgusting and ridiculous. So what if they did nude films or burlesque shows? It’s not like murder or suicide or abusive behavior. Those issues are FAR worse than nudity.

  • @MiggyRules

    Well to me what was messed up about the gun scenario was parents thought it was clearly not right for children to watch heroes with gun blasters BUT however, if parents REALLY did have a problem with the gun blasters, then WHY didn’t they have a problem with the Black Ranger literally using a Power Ax AS a cannon gun, aka the main essential to the Power Blaster from Season 1 ALSO. Which was significantly bigger than the Blade Blasters no less. That wasn’t even the only thing parents were outraged about no less too. They ALSO complained about Lord Zedd’s gruesome look which parents thought he was too hideous so they decided to bring Rita Repulsa back by marrying Lord Zedd which kind of toned his character down dramatically. Finally it’s more messed up that even though parents had a outrage about the guns but didn’t have the outrage over swords, cannons, daggers, lances and crossbows and after what happened with Ricardo Medina Jr., it’s astonishing the parents weren’t affected by weapon violence at all since most of the Power Rangers literally used a sword no less. Other series like Space or Lost Galaxy literally used swords as weapons or Lightspeed Rescue or Time Force using weapons that clearly look like cannons and parents weren’t outraged by them and all those series were prior to Wild Force which technically didn’t use either of them but making a combined weapon AS a sword and a Ranger using a move involving a pool 🎱 table no less. I think parents just relax. I grew up watching Power Rangers AS a kid when I was 10, in 1993, and my parents NEVER was affected by it let alone also Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which came out prior to Power Rangers no less and I was a huge fan of both of them as a kid and many people didn’t realize how gruesome TMNT was in comics compared to the cartoon series. My parents never had a problem with me watching either of them growing up and both of the shows had weapons and violence no less. They even bought toys for me growing up because they knew I was a fan of both of them. Just some people need to chill out about it. Plain and simple.

What parent is worried about their kid using a cannon because they saw it on TV? It's hilarious you are using the "weapons and violence didn't affect me" as if everyone sees TV the same way. It's ironic you accuse parents of complaining too much when you're doing the same leaving long comments on this video about a kids show.

    The one with the red wild force ranger wasn’t his fault though, and he instantly pleaded guilty and he was also the one who called the cops on himself and called an ambulance for his roommate, his roommate was extremely drunk and high and tried to attack medina so in self defence he did grab the sword and in the moment attacked his roommate, medina has full regret and still keeps in touch with the other cast members off wild force, what he did was bad and instantly pleaded guilty and wanted to take back what he did. Hes not a bad person he just accidentally did the wrong thing.

    I remember when I was a kid at the end of each episode of the Original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season there was always a “Message from the Power Rangers” Many of which were about how real life weapons are bad. And many of these things explain why certain seasons of Power Rangers are missing on Netflix.
