While Eddie did his best to hold off those demobats, Bob Newby was just too pure for Hawkins. Satine Kryze never gave up her beliefs of pacifism, and paid with her life right in front of Obi-Wan; that was Maul’s way of making Obi-Wan share his pain. Commander Fox could’ve set his DC-17 for stun, but no! He _had_ to kill Fives, a clone trooper who came close to stopping Order 66 before it began. That alone makes Fox easy to hate.

Howard Hamlin's death absolutely crushed me. A character initially set up as a major antagonist became one of the most sympathetic characters in the entire show. His death made feel empty inside and the scene in which Howard confronts Jimmy and Kim before he gets shot by Lalo gave me goosebumps. Better Call Saul is a superior show to Breaking Bad in my opinion. It is mindblowing how the show managed to make me hate Howard at first then be completely on his side in that episode and disgusted by Jimmy and Kim at the end. What a masterpiece of a show.

I still find Glenn's death was the hardest to watch seeing such a pure man get savagely beaten. The universe Glenn was a part of was evil and ugly yet he felt like the only light. It's funny cause I use to hate negan but now I have grown to respect how he's grown.

Glenn wasn’t pure at the time of his death he killed many saviors. Symbolically he does after finally making the choice to become a killer
@danielperry8532
Жыл бұрын
@Marshall Williams I agree he lost that purity when he killed saviors. However, in a world like that, it was bound to happen anytime. Plus, he took no pleasure in it and hated every second of it. Even killing people for Heath so he didn't have to go through the same moral dilemma. Although later on, he does end up shooting someone through a door. Glenn was a good character, and his character was one of the less gruesome characters. For example, when Nicholas tried to kill him, Glenn defended himself but didn't try to kill him. Even after getting shot by him. He even saved his life multiple times. So yes, he's killed saviors. However, unlike other characters in the series, he has not been brutal and was more forgiving.

@SIC PARVIS MAGNA yea but it was the harsh world they lived in. They were in a war and sometimes in war you play dirty. This wasn't in Glenn's character hence why I feel when he died it was also a sorta karma kinda thing.
Howard’s death was extremely heartbreaking especially because he was only killed for being there when Lalo appeared Wrong place at the wrong time 😰

Joyce‘s death was almost ‚poetic‘ - they way they did that in Buffy was so shocking and tragic and handled with such incredibly sensitivity that it set the bar for many shows!
Glenn's and Abraham's deaths are so heartbreaking, two great characters and important members of Rick's group!
While Jonathan's death is sad in Smallville, the death that always got me was Ryan. He was this psychic kid that his powers were slowly killing him. When he showed up for his second episode and said his goodbyes, it absolutely broke me
The dead of Marschalls dad was so touching because Jason Segal didn't know that his series dad would die and he was devestated that he never would be able again to play with him.😔
I would like to put in one from the past: Edith Bunker in All in the Family. Throughout the run of the series it always seemed that Archie was the logical one to die first. But then, when Archie stumbles into the empty Bunker bedroom & grieves over Edith's death, the entire "live" audience joins in the grievance.
Picking Sun and Jin's death over Charlier's death was a brave move, and I respect it. I think Charlie's death is incredible, but holy shit was watching their hands drift apart was heart wrenching.

I finally understood why Marvin’s dad’s death was the saddest moment on HIMYM Marshall was a very lovable and kind hearted individual and to see him so saddened and heartbroken by his dad’s death (a man who was also very lovable and kind hearted) is enough to make anyone sad
Opie has one of the saddest deaths in sons of anarchy . He died protecting his club but you could tell he had died long before that with Donna. This was his exit and to finally be at peace.

When Glenn died all motivation to watch The Walking Dead died too...😭😭
As a Supernatural fan I’m glad there’s one death from that show on the list. But the deaths of Ellen and Jo hit me harder than losing Bobby tbh
Bobby 's finale death was more shocking for me then sad because I was convinced he was going to be saved. Dean's death in the finale and Jo's and Ellen's deaths in S5 for me are definitely the saddest.
My sisters and I spent the summer of 2017 watching "Bones" reruns, so when Sweets was suddenly killed off in the season ten premiere, it was especially devastating. We had spent five days a week with this character, for months, and then without warning or foreshadowing, he's beaten to death by the rando of the week. It was like losing a family member.
When Buffy had to kill Angel at the end of season 2 was so heartbreaking!
Honorable Mentions Jack Pearson (This is Us) Ali (Squid Game) Chet Hunter (Boy Meets World) JT (Degrassi) Chase’s Grandmother (Zoey 101)
Dean's death in Supernatural series finale had me ugly-crying non stop😭

I bawled when Ten regenerated into Eleven on Doctor Who. David Tennant was brilliant in the role, and it's great to see him returning to the TARDIS later this year as Fourteen. Mark Greene on ER was heart breaking, but I also thought Lucy's death was even more so. Mark's was expected after the brain tumor came back, but Lucy's was so out of left field that it shocked a lot of us.

Dean's death had me crying more then bobby but Bobby was heartbreaking
Tommy Merlyn in the Season 1 finale of Arrow definitely hurt me big time the first time I saw it. One of if not the best Season finales in the history of the live action comic book adaptations genre. I knew Theon’s death was coming, not because I was spoiled, but because his death felt inevitable due to the setup prior! Theon’s death absolutely broke me, and took me nearly a week to get over it! You Were A Good Man 😢💔
I'd throw in James Evans's off-screen death in "Good Times" Also, the death (of both actor and character) of Mr. Hooper from "Sesame Street"
For me in Doctor Who it was the loss of Amy and Rory. I was anticipating it, but it was still a gut punch. There was also Harley Hidoka in NCIS Los Angeles. Loved the character and was hoping she'd become a series regular but then bam, she's gone. Ouch. The death of Clayton Reeves in NCIS was also another gut punch, as was the loss of Emily Fornell. That one nailed me, and I mean hard.

I thought Hershel's death was sadder than Glen's. The smile he gave, thinking Rick could convince the Governor that he could change only to be beheaded. Seeing Maggie and Beth's reaction. That scene broke me.
@jantheking7028
Жыл бұрын
Glenn's was sadder because of all the context surrounding it: 1. He was killed for the attack on the outpost, but he was the ONLY one who felt bad for killing the saviours at the outpost. Everyone else in the group didn't show remorse or sadness when they did it. 2. His death was avoidable. If Daryl didn't punch Negan, Negan wouldn't have killed Glenn. 3. His death was brutal. Hershel's death was a quick and instant slice to the throat. Glenn's death was him getting bashed in the head until his eye came out and he was gurgling his final words "I'll find you maggie". 4. Glenn was about to be a father too. Maggie was pregnant which makes his death even sadder knowing his son will never know who Glenn is. 5. Glenn was the most innocent of the group.

That Criminal Minds episode was devastating but watching Hotch beat Foyette to death immediately afterwards, especially when he thought he'd play on Hotch's good guy side and surrender to survive, was one of the most satisfying things in TV.

As soon as I saw what number 1 was, I had to stop the clip. Not just the saddest death, but arguably the saddest moment in TV history. I only ever watched it once. That was enough.
10:33 when the same thing happened to me one of the first thing I thought was exactly Marshall's "I'm not ready for this" line I felt it very personal
Scrubs is my favorite show of all time. Ben Sullivan's death destroyed me. Whenever the episode comes on it's still difficult to watch. All the performances are outstanding.

Buffy’s episode “the Body” is a true masterpiece
I'm shocked that Dean Winchester's death in the series finale of "Supernatural" didn't make the cut. It's my #1. Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki were rock stars in that scene. It's the most emotional scene I've ever seen. Period. Also, Castiel didn't resurrect Bobby in season 5 because Castiel was also killed by Lucifer in the same scene. Please include George’s death from Grey’s Anatomy. His dr friends didn’t realize at first they were working on him after his accident because he was unrecognizable.
It was truly sad that Seymour died I cried 😭
Bobby, Crowley, Gabriel, Charlie, Rowena, Cas, Dean, and Sam
Howard’s death in BCS for some reason didn’t affect me until I saw the humble and generous lawyer’s body sharing a grave with the psycho heartless killer that Lalo was.
We buried my father a year ago today (he passed away from Cancer and complications from Covid), and the HIMYM scene with Marshall has always gutted me, but seeing it again today it reminded me of when I lost my Dad. I was touched by how beautifully it was acted by both Jason and Allison. It brought tears to my eyes. And the one where Glenn died also devastated me on TWD and I didn’t even watch the show in its entirety but I knew of his character because I would watch it with my brother from time to time. It was a very sad TV death. We were out of town in Boston at the time with family and we watched that episode in our hotel room the night it premiered. It still guts me.

The deaths in Lost especially hurt because each of the characters were lost before the plane crash/island. The 2 saddest deaths for me are Glenn and Hank Glenn's death was a pain to watch, the sound of the Negan's bat still haunts me to this day Hank's death was the best written television death in my opinion, since the episode after his death *granite state* just shows the consequences of his death , how the entire cast of characters were miserable, the show showed the aftermath of the death in such a heart wrenching way which is why his death is number 1 in my books
Winifred from Angel. It took her an entire episode to die. Wesley in the final episode of Angel. At least he got to see Winifred before he died.
Then there was that Star Trek movie where Spock quietly and dutifully saved the ship and everyone on board by personally repairing the warp core. He died inside a clear containment structure of radiation poisoning while giving a distraught Captain Kirk the Vulcan salute and saying something like I’ve been and always will be your friend.😢
HIMYM was sad but now having lost my dad it makes me cry. Jin and Sun...oh yeah.
One that always tears me to pieces is Liz Forbes from The Vampire Diaries. I can’t watch the episode without snot crying.

Jin & Sun’s death hit me hard
I know that watch mojo is primarily aimed at US audiences, but I feel disappointed that Rachel’s death in Cold Feet wasn’t included. For a show that was (in some ways) Britain’s answer to Friends, having one of your main characters get killed in the way she did, was an absolute shock and incredibly sad.
