There was an episode of “The Real Ghostbusters” cartoon series in the 1980s that had a similar premise to the “Mangler” (ie a demon that causes inanimate objects to mutate into ravenous monsters). I think this episode was actually pretty scary, and the premise works a lot better in animation.

Love to see a remake. I really loved the mystery in the movie, but I don't like the langoliers - there was no real need for a monster. I would suggest something like a spreading "nothing". Just noticed: Mr. Tomins "make them go away" scene is the same style like the famous "oh my goooooooooood" from trolls 2. But I generally love movies with mystery and some peeps trying to figure out what's going on (esp. with science).
@geraldmartin7703
Жыл бұрын
Langoliers was a TV movie shown over a couple of nights. The budget was low so of course it wasn't Jurassic Park.
Octaman always reminds me of a Power Rangers villain. Maybe he would have been scarier it Rita had made him grow.
Killer klowns somehow became a family New Years tradition for me. Not complaining.
I read the Mangler. There was even an evil refrigerator in that story
One of the best things to come out of Ro-Man is the fact that he inspired a really popular scp
Don't know why but I feel the need to defend 14: The mangle (even the smaller hand cranked ones) was notorious for now only being able to wring out your washing but take a few fingers with it and crush them. The industrial revolution brought about many unsafe workplaces - the textile industry being horrific in its environment. The machines went and it didn't stop for minor issues like threads snapping and needing to be rethreaded - imagine trying to retread a sewing machine while its still running and tell me you don't feel like you'd get stabbed. Loose clothing and hair was a very real way to get yourself pulled into the machines moving parts and be badly crushed by unrelenting mechanics. As a movie it doesn't present the most thrilling of antagonist - no where near as dynamic as a demon possessed car - but it was (and potentially still is for some) a real world horror for those working in factories.
Killer Klowns is a masterpiece
No mention of Idle Hands? Even Child's Play deserves at least an honourable mention. Its execution was much better than most on the list, but the premise of a slasher villain doll was really no less absurd than half of them.

It's good that you note that some of the movies aren't really made to be taken seriously. Killer Klowns From Outer Space is pretty much just made to be a fun parody of older horror movies. And it's one of those that's still fun to break out on a movie night in October.
The fact Slaxx , Killer Sofa and the killmower from Blades didn't make this list shows how crazy creative people are when it comes to movie creatures lol

@laustcawz2089

"Troll 2" is ridiculously bad, but it actually has nothing to do with the original "Troll" (1986), which is pretty good, if a little cheesy, but it's got a great cast, decent effects & features characters named "Harry Potter" & "Harry Potter, Jr." facing a world of wizards, witches & trolls, all over a decade before J.K. Rowling's first "Harry Potter" book was published.

what about the Alien hunter that throws alien jellyfish like discs at its human victims in 1980's It Came Without Warning? that movie starred the late Jack Palance and Martin Landau and only few minutes scenes from known hollywood actors like the late Cameron Mitchell and the still-alive Larry Storch, and the movie also stars a young David Curoso from primetime CBS drama CSI: Miami, and don't forget the late Kevin Peter Hall who played the Alien Hunter as well, and Kevin went on to play The Monster from 1986's Monster in my Closet, then playing a new Alien hunter in the first two Predator movies(1987 and 1990) also playing the Bigfoot character from 1987's Harry and the Hendersons and its 1991 one season primetime too before Kevin Peter Hall's death in Late 1991

Black Sheep is by far the goriest and has the best effects of the ones I've seen, but sometimes the B-rated cheese monsters/creatures rock and of course there is Rubber, which stands alone as something few can probably get through, but I enjoyed it for how different it was.

Easily Killer Klowns From Outter Space as #1 pick. Has such a crush for Suzanne Snyder back then. I wish somehow a sequel, remake, even getting reboot of the franchise of it started again with bigger budget. The movie was imaginative the way it way made and could be taken up few notches to better with today's effects. Warwick Davis was entertaining I'm Leprechaun movie, but I only enjoyed 1-4 of the films. Does the black mass in The Raft segment in Creepshow 2 count aswell as Chief Wooden Head? I feel I need to know what the black mass was and its origin. There's also the demon creature from Cellar Dweller. Though, plain lousy story and cast it had lil but of good gore and nudity for its kill count throughout. I liked the comic drawing. And the demon creature looked great, enjoyed what did. I watch movies on Tubi and seen so many titles of movies that looked so lower than B rated movies that I wonder how they got any budget. Makes think I can make a better film or sequel of better film from a franchise. When I was younger I actually thought Grant Grammer was a older Burt Ward who played Robin from 60s Batman series.
I really liked the Leprechaun movies with the exception of that WWE reboot they tried to make and I never realized that he had a name. I just always knew him as the Leprechaun. Lubdan is kind of a silly name though.
Absolutely love Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Leprechaun use to scare the hell out of me as a little kid, along with Chucky
What's funny is, a lot of these are no more outlandish than are some supposed real-life cryptids. Sam the Sandown Ghost Clown, the Sheepsquatch, the Octo-Squatch, the Kelly-Hopkinsville Goblins, the Jersey Devil, the Casablanca Entities, the Enfield Horror, the Bremerton Monstrosity, etc., etc., etc.
I was in my young teen years when I watched Scream. That’s my favorite horror movie
Out of all these movies, I really love Black Sheep, Leprechaun, Troll 2, The Stuff, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, and The Gingerdead Man.
I love Robert from Rubber. That’s honestly one of my favorite movies. This list tells me I have lots of movies to watch, I’ve only seen about half of these.

The old guy with a Cigarette in "The Mangler" sounds like Beetlejuice from "Beetlejuice" plus the evil turkey kinda sounds like John Cena & Gary Busey not to mention each of these horror movies have strange titles :)
I think two of the most ridiculous monsters in film would be the giant flying turkey buzzard in "The Giant Claw" and the killer carpet from "The Creeping Terror". Cheapness never goes out of style.
Killer Klowns from Outer Space was my favorite movie as a kid
Top 3 (In my opinion): 1. Tomatoes 2. Tire 3. Death Bed Why do these even exist, as I would put it as ridiculous. A death bed, a reasonable way describing how dangerous the furniture is, but possessed with demon blood, that doesn't makes sense. A tire, with the ability to use psychic abilities on people, that's so weird. And a fruit that kills people through physical contact, WHAT!?!?!. I'd say these are the most ridiculous creatures.
Killer Clowns From Outer Space is THE FUNNIEST HORROR movie EVER!!!!
Though the langoliers look terrible I loved the mini series I found it very entertaining Death bed was terrible I tried to watch it ended up skipping huge bits just to see if it got any better (it didn't)
*thumbnail* Me And The Boys are going for a walk. A very enthusiastic walk
Kinda sad that the big bird from "The Giant Claw" didn't make the cut. I hear that thing was as big as a battleship, after all!
I don’t care what they say, the organism from The Stuff creeped me the hell out!!! Think about it!!! It’s a parasitic organism that evolved to taste good to its hosts!!! After eating just a small amount of it the host becomes addicted to it!!! Then, it slowly consumes the host from the inside out, taking them over and somehow absorbing there intelligence and memories!!! And even if you manage to destroy the body, the stuff will just leave its host, leaving nothing but an empty shell!!! Now I know that the movie is a satire, poking fun at humanities rampant consumerism, but just the thought of a parasite evolving to the point where it can take over humans just freaks me out!!! I would love to see a remake of it.
I love the Leprechaun, he's more funny than scary.
Those were some hilarious monsters! I would have added Chucky to the list and the laughable evil villain in Basket Case. And a good time was had by all!
great video
I always thought that B rated horror movies were more funny than scary!
Oh man! I thought the killer donuts would be on here for sure! :')
Best video, 👍🏾 I've watched them all
Killer Klowns from outter space gave me nightmares when i was a kid. xD
I’ve heard of Teeth and The Attack of Killer Donuts but seriously, how am I supposed to be scared?
The Mangler could have gone with the idea that the laundry machine was actually a mimic in disguise. And that in the climax of the movie it'll grow teeth and it's tentacle tongues would start lashing out from inside trying to grab people
Killer klowns is a fun freaking masterpiece it had a budget of 1.8 million and did 43 million at the box office. It was rated pg so it had a wide target audience being that it was fun for kids and adults alike. It quite possibly might be the best B movie ever created. It’s a shame we never got a sequel, but some things you should just leave as 1 and done Gems...
i used to not like clowns but then i watched killer klowns and now i love that movie
Missing from your list ( honourable mentions): Night Of The Lepus (1972) Killer Rabbits!!! & Blood Freak ( 1972)A biker ( who looks like an Elvis Impersonator ) works at a turkey farm and eats a turkey with an experimental drug and becomes a human with a turkey head ( that looks like the head of a sports mascot!) that needs the blood of drug addicts to survive, the film is interrupted by a commentator who is smoking and in his last scene has a coughing fit and you are sure the man is going to die. What does he do when he starts coughing? Has another drag on his cigarette. This film was made by an evangelical church group so part way thru the film everything stops as they pray.
I'm so glad we're having a killer klowns from outer space game :)

The carnivorous bunnies from Night of the Lepus were left out. The movie was based(sort of) on a book from Australia titled "The Year of the Angry Rabbit" If you want a silly movie now you should remake it according to the plot of the book.
