That one definitely belonged on this list! It's a crime that it wasn't on here! There's a reason that nobody talks about it nowadays, lol.
Listening to the old record "Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House" by Walt Disney Productions is scarier than watching any of these movies. I'd like to throw in a few Honorable Mentions: My Soul to Take (2010) Let's Scare Jessica to Death (1971) Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) Troll II (1990) Alone in the Dark (2005)
They should’ve switched Children of the Corn with Exorcist II
I think „I know what you did Last Summer“ wasn’t that boring. The chase scene with Helen was pretty suspenseful
the orginal house of wax was brilliant
Well done. I agree with the #1 pick.
Anaconda scared the shit out of me but I'm also on the deadly side of the fear of snakes. Everything was cheesy I'll agree but faaaack I had bad dreams for a while.
I totally agree with this list. But I saw I know what you did last summer opening weekend to a sold out crowd. The crowd I saw it with was terrified. They jumped and screamed at everything. It definitely scared people in its time.

Glad to see someone else agrees on this. It's less that it's "not scary" to modern audiences, so much as modern audiences have grown largely numb to stalker-killer plotlines in this day and age (and largely lack patience for a movie killer that takes their time tormenting their victims psychologically instead of jumping straight to the kills.)

"I Know What You Did Last Summer" is based on a book that was published in 1973. But, people who were teens in the late 80s, early 90s may remember it too as it was also released by Point Horror for those Scholastic book fairs in middle school.

I didn’t think it was even supposed to be actually scary. Just an action movie with a “scary” backstory. Like what part of Paul Bettany shooting angles and demons with MP5’s screams horror?
The Happening is one of the greatest and most hilarious comedies put to film. Ditto Nicolas Cage's The Wicker Man.
Tremors, and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes weren't really scary but they definitely helped form your childhood if you saw them when you were young. Lol
Anaconda was pretty scary. The house of wax was scary and a good horror movie. Texas chainsaw massicre was scary. One missed call was scary. I remember watching that in the Movies theater with my girlfriend. She jumped on me for the scary parts. The Wickerman was scary and Nicolas cage is amazing. Leprechaun was scary. What the heck is with this list.
I remember watching Legion. It was decent but it also had crazy scenes. I remember the ice cream man when he arrived and started to scream at the group and had long limbs.
I love Anaconda as well. I've watched most of these entries (with the exception of Jason X - stopped Friday the 13th after the second entry to the franchise) and enjoyed all of them. Going to finish the video, sure hope Toxic Avenger in the list. EDIT: I have never watched TCM.. bc it freaks me out. I have (thankfully) missed some of these. Unfortunately, I did see Jaws III in 3-D and it really, really sucked. Caused me to consider swimming in the ocean, locate a shark, and punch it in the crotch. It'd be more believable than causing it to explode with an oxygen tank.. SMDMFH 🙄 Boy, sure glad I skipped The Revenge.. a _roaring shark?!?_ wtf? The original Wicker Man is pretty terrifying. Editing several hours later: I must've been brain farting. Children of the Corn is on this list?!? Really WM? I thought that film was terrifying. Maybe it's scary to those who've been surrounded by the rabidly religious. I got a suggestion: a list of Stephen King novels (It & The Shining), novellas (Trucks & The Body) etc that have yet to be made into film.. I can list #1 right here: The Eyes of the Dragon. As far as casting goes, I'll be mighty heated if Bronson Pinchot is in the role of Flagg (unless he's unavailable or uninterested).

Roaring sharks are actually a common thing in movies now. It's practically mandatory for a shark to roar whenever they breach the water
Back then in 2014, Critical reception of Brynhildr in the Darkness (2014) has mostly been negative with many reviewers comparing it to the 2004 series Elfen Lied, also created by Lynn Okamoto, and the many similarities between the two works. In reviews of the anime the story has been called "shoddy" and "incomplete" with none of the characters being particularly memorable or having much depth. In addition they have also noted the overuse of harem antics and cliches to the extent that the series often feels more like an ecchi harem comedy as opposed to a serious sci-fi/horror series. But as years goes by , this cult hit anime series have finally gained much loved and attention that its rightfully deserved. As a "Brynhildr in the Darkness " anime fan and Horror fan ; I'm pretty sure that most of the Horror Movies in this video also gained much loved and attentions as years goes by between NOW or in the FUTURE.
I'm a school teacher. The name Abrey is becoming popular. However, everytime I hear it it makes my shiver in my shoes. Not because I'm feeling scared, it just reminds me of Lindsey in the movie "I know who killed me" and I feel the pain of the hour and a half I will never get back... 🤔😄
Very good movies, although some disappointed me
I know it's a hot take but I found the first Insidious movie laughably bad. Once she put on the oxygen mask or whatever that thing was, I tapped out. The jump scares were also pretty bad, especially the one behind Patrick Wilson at the table. The Conjuring 1 and 2 knock the Insidious series out of the park.
I LOVE Birdemic and have watched it at least a dozen times. Mainly because it was filmed in my hometown and I get homesick.
Thank You for the List & Video 😀

Definitely a few guilty pleasures of mine on this list. I would say, replace Texas chainsaw. massacre: the beginning with the Netflix one that came out last year. That one was more annoying than anything else with the characters and the terrible writing.

Jason X may not have been scary, but it did have the best kill in the franchise. The nitrogen face smash was horror greatness!!

I have seen both the 1933 original Mystery of the Wax Museum and the Vincent Price 1953 remake, House of Wax and both are so far beyond superior to the 2005 version.

Calling Killer Tomatoes a horror movie is like calling Paddington a snuff film.
Me: Man, Owen Wilson has been in some pretty questionable "scary" movies *The Haunting shows up* Ah, theres the other one
I vaguely remember seeing a VHS in the early 2000s of a Z-grade sci-fi/horror movie with a big sticker on the cover: “see Carmen Electra naked!”, which likely spoke volumes about the film’s quality.

372: Can I say Pinocchio’s Revenge?
No mention of The Frighteners? That was a horror movie with no scares, should have made this list.
My favorites on this list : I Know What You Did Last Summer ( which definitely has its scary moments ) , The Haunting ( I didn’t think it’s as bad as everyone else does ) , Rubber ( loved it ), Attack of the Killer Tomatoes ( which I haven’t seen in forever ) One Missed Call, The Happening ( also don’t think it’s so bad ) , Thinner.
Most of these movies were more gory and graphic than truly scary

Birdemic: Shock and Terror (2010)
This list is a bit of mess at times guys. I mean, just for starters, you’ve got movies on here that we’re never intended to be straight up horror movies. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes was meant to be a joke comedy movie. By the time Jason X came out, the Friday the 13th movie series had already become intentionally tongue and check and made for us fans just wanting to see how cleverly Jason could kill his victims. Leprechaun was also intentionally made to be a fun tongue and cheek comedy horror movie that only fans like me can appreciate. Children of the corn was terrifying in its time. Anaconda was more of an action thriller with John Voit’s character being the real villain. I know What you Did Last Summer had some decent scares. I would agree with some of the other ones like Jaws 4 and The Wicker Man were unintentionally laughably bad but at least some of them created some good memes and are still fun to watch.
I love pinocchio's revenge. It's so fun!
"Anaconda"s plot: Dude gets killed by giant snake and the snake gets killed at the end.

Anaconda scared me as a kid
Yo fuck that, leprechaun gave me nightmares for years as a kid. That movie was fucked up
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes was a great and wonderful Parody of horror movie. And the way chemicals are poured on our vegetables, it sooner or later will happen.😂😂😂😂
Looking at the quality of Ice Cream Man, I think you can buy an actual ice cream bar that costs more than that film’s budget.
That red thing in the thumbnail is from an Attack of the Killer Tomatoes property, right? I’m also wondering what movie the other half of the thumbnail is from.
There is one movie that I'm not scared of, and it is " Gremlins". I remembered the first time watching it and the gremlins didn't scare me one bit. I laughed and laughed all the way through the movie from beginning to end and it was ridiculously funny. Sabrina Griffin. The only horror movies I like to watch are the kid friendly ones like Goosebumps the movie 1 and 2.
Wow.. he was really serious about that bird movie... thats sad..
I was terrified of the ice cream man from legion. But he also reminded me of a spider and I'm terrified of spiders too
Fun Fact: For a long time the only way you could get Manos on DVD was the MST3K episode.
