I read a biography of Rasputin written by one of his daughters. Definitely a different perspective on the man. Most bios ignore the fact he was married & had children back in Siberia.

Harold Holt isn't a mystery he was swimming in a very dangerous unpatrolled area, with all the rips and currents if a swimmer becomes overwhelmed it's stranger if they are found then not. As for Shakespeare there are few people of his era that we know more about. Ben Johnson was a arguably more popular playwright at the same time as Shakespeare and we have no idea about the vast majority of details of his life or most of his works. Shakespeare is basically so beloved because of the publication of a folio of his works soon after his death so his work survived.

I don't know why Harold Holt was on here because it was only his disappearance was mysterious.

sincerely doubt that, the Zodiac made a phonecall to police, the police woman said Allen's voice did not match, DNA from the letters the Zodiac sent did not match Allen, his handwriting did not match, and a policeman who saw the Zodiac run away from one of the scenes, said Allen was about 100 pounds too heavy than the man he saw, and his face was also too round.

I find Harold Holt being included here a bit odd. Yes his disappearance was infamous but he’s not the first person to have gone missing for Victorian beaches and never be heard of again… He was on the conservative side of politics (wheat we in Australia would refer to a a small l Liberal- a moderate). To think he was a Chinese spy is preposterous, I think this is a twisting of the rumours the Chinese Kidnapped him using a submarine - bit this concept is bizarre as well. The odd thing about him is that after he died, presumably drowned. They named a swimming centre after him. Which when you stop and realise he was a very enthusiastic swimmer (and his belief in his ability probably lead to his death, thinking that the water wasn’t a danger to him. When the currents off Cheviot beach are deadly) so naming a pool after him isn’t that odd. Also Cheviot beach IS in Victoria, it’s NEAR Melbourne.
