The Predator’s honor code is one of the reason I love them so much. It sets them apart from other monsters.

Kong was really heartbreaking but I still liked the character and I also liked Godzilla

@@nickpotter158 Me too. I am part of that small group which likes Kong more than Godzilla. However, both Kong and Godzilla are not just monsters. They are saviours. So I think Kong vs Godzilla will be exactly like Batman vs Superman. There will be an initial clash, but they will work as a team against a common evil monster.

There's American Godzilla, and then there's Japanese Godzilla. We've closed a gap in recent years, but I don't think American Godzilla would ever do a dropkick using his tail. And then there's American Dracula...and then there's Japanese Dracula. American Dracula is fine, but I don't think American Dracula would ever go for walks. _Very enthusiastic_ walks.

I think this list was very well done. I have watched old and new monster films and the mix of both in the video was great to see. The impact they had on people and cinema as a whole was well represented in the order this list contains. 👍

Umm Matt. When you find a great white shark at your local aquarium do let me know. I’d love to come and see the monster. Btw the shark in the fictional film “Jaws” was actually 26 feet long ...and given that it killed at least 5 people and sunk two vessels qualifies it as a monster by any standards. FYI I’m well versed on the biology distribution and activities of the White shark - and in some cases these animals qualify as ‘monsters’ by any standard. Finally - I’m aware there have been @3 great whites that have lived in human aquatic prisons for limited times...that doesn’t detract from the claim that a 26ft fictional great white isn’t a monster. It just reconfirms that the most horrific monsters remain the human monster...

For fans of the Gill Man there is at least a published novel from Paul Di Filippo called Time's Black Lagoon. It gives an enjoyable read and has a few really good twists to it.

Loved that the OG Universal monsters showed up and I'm not going to argue #1 and #2; but I would have found a space for Zerg and the Weeping Angels, though.

Monsters I wish could've been on this list, even just as an Honorable Mention, are the Crites from the Critters franchise. Yes, just about all of the movies (except the original) were crap, but the franchise more or less gained a following, and the original is kind of a cult classic.
