I dunno. Lenny's mother was an actress, and he was a musician. And Maya's mother was a singer, while Maya was an actress. I get the feeling this Miss Mojo is actors who came from actors, not just children of celebs. But I could be wrong.

Maya is the only slightly relevant one here, she is also known for a single show, which she got because she was a nepo baby. Her career is too new for her to be in this video. These all have at least a decade under their belt. Qualley is known for a bit part in a tarantino movie and an independent Netflix movie, she is not known yet. Zoey has played a recurring role on Zombie land 2, had to google this, love her part but didnt realise she was he person from the google image. All of these are good actresses, none worth mentioning in this, yet. Maya would earn her way here one day, the others, likely wont if they haven't already and they havent earned it other than be given it because of their parents, which is the opposite of the point of the video, they are the epitome of a nepo baby getting a job over trained actresses.

Michael Douglas deserves his fame, as he went on to become an icon in his own right, despite being icon Kirk Douglas’ son

No Josh Brolin (Milk, Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2 etc) Charlie Sheen (Platoon, Wall Street) or Angelica Huston (take your pick!) Also while criticism for being cast in Godfather part 3, Sofia Coppola had to earn her position as a top director as a result.

No, way Charlie Sheen deserved it. Sure, sure he's all rehabilitated now, but it doesn't count, not yet anyway. His brother, Emilio Eztevez does as he's a pretty good director and has mainly stayed out of the limelight.

@@meliajanssen3462 I still believe both deserved acknowledgement for their talents and not related to nepotism. While you can argue Charlie Sheen did not cope with fame, he still deserved fame on the basis of his talent as an actor. Platoon and Wall Street were used as these movies are classics that will live forever (Platoon won best picture Oscar) and stars Sheen in both. Also I will point out that in his history he has been recast by producers and directors for different projects - so he was trusted by these people at the time.

Jennifer Aniston is also a nepotism baby. Her dad John Aniston is a day time drama actor and her godfather was the late actor Telly Savalas.

Jack Quaid not only hit the looks lottery jackpot, but talent as well.

I was also going to mention Maya, who is also an underrated musician with 2 albums.

The older nepo babies were given opportunities but still worked hard to be their own brand. The younger nepo babies (rising in the 2000s) more or less just assume people are going to buy into their brand because they have the opportunities other people don't. They don't try to "prove/push" themselves to be worth the opportunities like the older ones.

Bryce Dallas Howard totally belongs on this list 💯

As long as the talent is there, no worries. Liza, Jamie and Drew have the talent. Granted that they had the nepotism to help them get a leg up. Best to have a nepo baby with the talent, than a a nepe baby with the talent taking up the roles that should be going elsewhere.

This whole nepo baby thing is so detailed and nuanced. When that article came out last year that restarted this discussion, I never took it to mean that actors with famous or well-connected relations do not deserve their careers, I think people have now started to notice that marginally-talented actors with these connections seem to regularly get work, which would be less likely had they waited tables before getting their big break. This has been going on forever, but it's now gained attention from having so much content out there, there's more likelihood to come across this. Let's face it, if you're the child of a famous parent, you can do anything, but since you grew up in Hollywood, chances are that's all you know so you'll probably stay within the industry.

Drew Barrymore and Riley Keough. Almost everyone knows of Drew Barrymore's story so I don't want to repeat what everyone has said about her. I discovered Riley when she first did modeling and never thought about it afterward until watching Zola and she was good in that movie. When I found out she was cast to play Daisy Jones in Daisy Jones and the Six, I was very skeptical because I was curious about her singing ability and she was great in the show. I hope she gets work.

For every one nepo baby that succeeds there are hundreds that fail, but failure does not mean untalented. Connections can get you the chance, but it takes a certain amount of talent, timing, luck and audience acceptance to be a major success or even a minor one. The fact that she’s a great actress aside (which that alone puts her on the list) getting to be one of the kids sleeping in the car her Mom died in would be just a bit traumatic. Passed away underplays it. Even saying died in car accident would have been better.

i think the problem is with nepo babies who have no talent. lol. in other jobs, if you fail you fail. you dont keep getting jobs that showcase your mediocrity. only real nepo baby outside of film is business magnates and royalty. in those cases though the downfall happens later when the entire business fails or a royal house falls and you destroy the economy or lives of other people through your incompetence..

i hate the concept of nepo babies because sometimes it seems as though people can't differentiate between a "neptotism baby" and someone who is just related to someone who is also famous. there are some people who wouldn't have careers if it weren't for their families, but just because someone acts and, say, so does their mom, doesn't mean they only get roles because of their mom. it's as if people are basically saying that in order to keep things fair, only one person per family is allowed to be famous

The Barrymore family, and the related Drew family, form a British-American acting dynasty which traces its acting roots to the mid-19th century London stage. After migrating to the US family members were active in motion pictures. The surname Barrymore originated from an actor named William Barrymore. The Drew family traces to the Irish actor John Drew Sr. Except for John Drew Barrymore, Diana, Drew, and John Blyth, none of the other members of John Barrymore's family have yet entered the entertainment industry. Most of the spouses, however, were related to the artistic world, mainly actresses and actors.
